Third Party Manufacturers / Re: Pocket Camera
« on: January 15, 2013, 04:34:45 PM »
I bought a pocket camera based on the fact that I'm certified as an open water scuba diver. I wanted something I could take diving and snorkeling and not break the bank. At the time I was looking, I ended up buying a Nikon Coolpix AW100. It's been a great little camera so far. It's 16mp, shockproof, GPS logging and shoots HD video as well, even 10m underwater.

I've always had UV's on for protection.

Pricewatch Deals / Re: Canon EOS 5D Mark III Body $2599 Shipped
« on: December 16, 2012, 02:24:36 PM »
I'm in the market for a 5D III and I was tempted by this sale.  I noticed that it said a warranty cost $299 extra but the box contents said that it came with a USA warranty.  Any explanation for this?  Thanks all.

I notice that too. I'm not sure what it means.

Software & Accessories / Re: Head for Manfrotto 055xprob

I have a 055CXPRO4 and a 410 Junior Geared Head. It has a quick release for each of it's 3 adjustment points which gets you close to where you want to be and then you fine adjust to get the exact position you're looking for. It has a quick release plate for the camera or lens to mount to. I ordered a spare release plate as well. It's great for macro, landscape and just about anything that gives you time to adjust.

Lenses / Canon Teleconverters Question
« on: October 03, 2012, 07:28:35 AM »
Hi All,
I've been a lurking for a while and finally registered a few weeks ago. I love the site and Forum.

I had a question about Canon TC's. I was pretty sure that I read somewhere on the Forum where someone said that the version II TC's can be stacked directly on each other, but the newest, version III TC's can't. Is that true? What about stacking a version II to a version III?

Thanks!
