Software & Accessories / JPEG repair software Recommendations
« on: October 28, 2013, 09:53:31 AM »
Hi All,

Have a family member who I reminded to backup their photos on their laptop and 3 days later their 10 year old soon decided to use the system recovery tool on their laptop. They managed to swith it off before it kicked in however I got the hard drive and ran the kingston drive recovery software to recover all the files so currently I have 130,000+ jpegs a mixture of internet cache and photos taken with different cameras etc.

Anyway my question is does anyone know of any decent jpeg repair software as quite a few of the jpegs have the right thumbnails but are showing up as corrupted when opened. Its a long shot but its of them and their family over the last 10 years and I think they have learned their lesson the hard way

thanks in advance

Just seen Usain Bolt win the 200 meters, he ran over to the crowd and got a pro photographers 1DX and 24-70 started taking pictures of Yohan Blake and the crowd before handing it back.

Just shows who a winner really is.

Guess  the US boys wont see this due to the poor NBC coverage - shame.

EOS Bodies / 1DX used on robot and underwater at the Olympics 2012

Found this for 1DX use on youtube. The bit where the 1DX is being hauled on a wire above the pool is a bit scary!!!

EOS Bodies / Art Wolfe FB page posts about use of 1DS Mark 4 at the weekend
« on: September 13, 2011, 07:00:48 AM »
Hi,

I posted a link to the arte wolfe fanclub on the canonrumors facebook page you may have missed it due to people posting photos.

anyways here are my captures of it before they deleted it and reposted with 1 d mark 4 instead of "the new 1ds mark 4".

I have not made it up as a guy on fred and miranda found the same see below.

here is the original post

I just wanted to extend an extra thank you to @Michael Gurley from Canon for bringing the keys to the candy store this past weekend for the workshop participants. Mike brought with him just about every Canon lens from the widest fish eyes, tilt shift, macro and on through through 800mm along with numerous backs including the new 1DS Mark 4. Everyone had a great time trying out new lenses and backs and we really appreciate it.

I posted the above on the canon rumors page, had no response then I put a link, around 30 minutes later the link was deleted and reposted with

If this was a type o error then changing from "the new 1ds mark 4" to "the 1d mark 4"  is a little interesting.
