Shot a Chalk Art Festival last weekend. The featured artist drew a sweet Iron Man/Captain America mural. Filmed all on the 5DMKIII. I was very pleased with the performance especially with the night shots. Check it out.

These are a couple of stills from our latest YouTube project. We shot 3 videos total over the course of two days. One of which was a "Camera Warfare" video that my Partner Devin and I conceived a long time ago. Nice to see it come to fruition! Canon sent us out 30+ camera bodies and lenses for the shoot. They also sent us a 600mm and 800mm lens. It was a blast. If you want to see the final results of the shoot you can go to www.youtube.com/devinsupertramp

Speedlites, Printers, Accessories / Need a portable power unit for Flash???

Does anyone have any good recommendations for  a portable power unit that I can run my flash unit off of? I have a 800watt Alien Bee flash unit.

Lighting / Wireless flash setup. Need advice!

To sum it up, I have an Alien Bees 800, and plan on buying a 430ex or 580ex that I want to control wirelessly.

What are my most affordable options to achieve this?

I shoot with a 5D MKIII

I'm still a complete noob when it comes to this camera, and full frame cameras in general. I do a lot of DSLR video, but have a new found passion for photography. I moved from a T3i to a 5DMKIII and I really enjoy the camera!  :D

EOS Bodies - For Video / 5DMK3 Final Cut Log and Transfer

Has anyone figured out how to log and transfer footage using Final Cut??

I edited the camera.plist to add the MKIII like I had to do with my T3i... but I can't get final cut to recognize the files. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks.

EOS Bodies / New Mac RAW update.. D800 only?

So I just pulled down the latest Mac RAW update, but it only supports the D800.

Is there a reason the MK3 is absent from this latest update?

Just like many others on here, I was experiencing less than sharp photos on my MD3. They were good, but I felt like something was missing.

Before jumping into micro adjustments and trading my body for a new one, I assumed the most likely cause to my issue was in fact the user. Me.

I'm not used to a sophisticated AF system (coming from the t3i). So I decided to educate myself on it by just going out and shooting with different settings.

Normally I would shoot on "Auto AF" and would get less than sharp results. Then I switched over to Spot AF and the results are much better!

NOTE: These shots are both from in camera JPEG's and have had zero editing. I simply cropped them, and saved them out of photoshop. These are not processed RAWS, so I imagine the RAW file could have been sharpened much more.
