Lighting / Pixel King help
« on: March 29, 2014, 09:40:48 PM »
I just ordered the pixel king transceiver and 2 receivers (not the new Pro models) . I have three canon 430 ex II's.

I don't know if I'm missing something but I have both receivers set to channel one and both group A. Both flashes on the receivers are turned on and set to ettl.

The problem comes up with the transceiver part. I have the 430 ex II turned on and set to ettl. The transceiver is turned on to group A channel 1. So when I take a test picture both receiver flashes fire but the flash on the transceiver does not fire. Am i missing something on the set up or do I have a defective transceiver? (I switched the flashes around so its not a flash problem). I also am using a 6D.

Hope this is enough information for you to understand my problem. Thanks for the help.

Speedlites, Printers, Accessories / Flash setup help
« on: January 24, 2014, 08:24:01 AM »
I am wanting to buy a couple flashes and I'm not for sure what to do.  I don't get paid for anything so I'm trying to keep it a cheaper setup. I already have the canon 430exII. I want to buy two more flashes so I can have the 3 flash setup for cars, family pictures, ect. I still want to have the ETTL ability so I can adjust power levels from the camera (transmitter). I have been looking at the Pixel King transmitters/receiver.

http://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Trigger-Flashes-Transmitter-Receiver/dp/B005TQFRTY/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1390569022&sr=8-4&keywords=pixel+king

I think that would be a good system from what I read is it will be able to the the ETTL things I want it to do.
So the 2nd part is what type of flashes would you recommend. I am thinking about buying 2 of the Yongnuo 560 III flashes.
Would that work for what I am wanting to achieve? Thanks

Lenses / What Lens/Body should I use?
« on: September 04, 2013, 07:54:38 AM »
I am going to be shooting a local high school football game this Friday night and I cant decide what I should shoot with when I'm there.
I was thinking about using the 6d with the 70-200 2.8 and using the 60d with a 24-105 for when there is a lot of light.
When it gets darker outside and when I am relying on the stadium lights I would just put away the 60d and the 24-105 and just shoot with the 6d and the 70-200 2.8 and not worry about the fans and the side line pictures as much.

Thanks for the help deciding.

Software & Accessories / Focus Stacking
« on: August 28, 2013, 08:12:57 AM »
I am new to this form but I have been reading it for a year or so but now I needed an account.

I have just learned about Focus Stacking and how it is used for Macro work.
I'm going to try it out this weekend but I was also wondering do you use it for Landscape work also?
