Video & Movie / Chromakey Green Screen Editing help

Hello I am pretty new to the 5D2 and I have been using its video mode more and more. I have a small green screen setup at home and I want to make some videos with it can anyone offer some help in a program thats pretty simple to use that can aide me with chromakey? I havent done much video editing other than windows movie maker so something cheap or free thats easy to use. Heck I will spend some extra bucks if its easy to use. Google hasnt been pointing me in the direction I want to go. Thank you!

Lenses / FD Lens to use with AE-1 and 5D2

Hey I've been looking at the EdMika conversions and I want to ask your opinions about awesome lenses that I could use with my AE-1 Program and my 5D2. Also if I get a focus screen for the 5D2 will that aid focusing with older FD lenses?

Canon General / How do you buy equipment?

Good morning everyone, I would like to know how most of you acquire your photo gear, do you pay cash for everything or is there a way to finace some gear at a lower rate than credit cards? I save money as much as I can but things come up and you have to pay for stuff, and so I put my photography purchases on hold and it seems like it stays there forever. I have a full time job and I make money here and there from photography but its annoying borrowing equipment or renting all the time and missing opportunities for great shots or business.

Hello all there these two older lenses that popped back up on Craigslist again that I saw back in late January and February. Are the prices right for these lenses? I'm sure both are just great to have but is there a reason not to buy them? Thanks for your input.

Portrait / Ruined photo, or rescue opportunity?

Hello I recently shot a wedding and during the group photos it became rather rushed as I was given a very short amount of time to set up for my shots. During the chaos and confusion I think one of my flashes malfunctioned or simply turned off, here is the resulting photo. My question, is this photo ruined or is there a way to rescue it? The shadows on a few faces is what is in question if you didn't notice right away Hopefully this isn't a huge fail on my part! Thank you everyone!

Hey everyone I have a choir I am photographing this Saturday the 13th and I was hoping to get your opinions on what lens I should rent for this. I was thinking about the Canon 16-35L Canon 14L or maybe the Sigma 12-24. The choir is about 50 kids and the director wants the something different than the typical riser shots, anyone got any ideas on large group shots? Thank you in advance to potential replies!

Canon General / Canon USA shop direct and canon loyalty program help

Does anyone know if you pay taxes and shipping from canon shop direct? I live in Minnesota. Another question is how do I qualify for canon loyalty program or take advantage of it? Ive never really used the canon USA site much and I'm pretty lost on the page. Thank you!

EOS Bodies - For Stills / 5d2 with 24-105 kit up 100$ since last week what does that mean?

I've been on the fence about buying a 5d2 kit and watching the prices but I just checked tonight and it's up 100 dollars matching my local vendors and last week everyone online had it for 2699. Does this mean something new might show up or stock is dwindling down and so price goes up? It's starting to not seem like a good deal to me anymore.

I have a very good condition canon 50d with a grip and this guy is open to trading for one according to his ad. Provided its not a scam and the camera works would it be dumb to pass on this trade?

EOS Bodies - For Stills / Anyone buy a new 5D3 on eBay?

It states it's a kit that had the lens removed, so is this a good deal and will I still have a warranty? eBay always makes me somewhat nervous but 400 bucks less is a good deal. So please anyone who has bought a new camera from eBay and maybe even from this store tell me is it safe?

Ok Im quite confused, I know digital is the new thing and film is kind of almost vintage, but seriously why couldnt they just turn this camera digital?

I get the convenience of digital but this 1V film camera sure seems like one hell of a camera! Maybe I am too young and naive about film vs digital or however you want to call it. So is it really just a convenience factor that determines the price and features of the current SLRs because 1V has 45 point AF and can do 10FPS what the hell mr 5D2 or even 5D3 for that matter! I would trade the 5D3's 61 point AF and 6fps for the 1V's 45 point and 10fps, how cool would that be? Or is it more like how long did it take to get where the 1V is vs how long will it take for digital to catch up? I guess its only been 7 years since the 5Dc was announced I suppose its time to look up how long canon had been making auto-focus film cameras!

EOS Bodies - For Stills / 5D2 new kit vs 5D2 refurb + what lens? Caution math involved!!

So as I have been reading on here Canon has the 5D2 refurb for 1700 or if you get the loyalty program I hear it's like 1500. So you can buy a new 5D2 kit with 24-105 for 2600 and you get a 1000 dollar lens meaning the camera is like 1600. So do you buy a kit or do you buy a refurb and a lens? But a new 5D2 is 2000 so if you get the kit you get a 1000 dollar lens for  600. Does anyone see these numbers the same as me? I'm very confused but I really want a full frame and I tried the 5d2 with 24-105 and it was better than my 50d with 17-55 2.8 IS!!! My 50d is so grainy at ISO 800.

EOS Bodies - For Stills / Craigslist 5D3 for 2900, good deal or buy 5d2 or 6d?

I have the cash, I want full frame very badly. I don't need that much camera as I'm not professional but 2900 for 7k shutter sounds like a good deal. There's a big camera sale coming this weekend locally I wonder if they might have 5d2s cheaper? Obviously the 5d3 is a heck of a lot more camera than 5d2(5d2 im sure would be amazing) and heck the rumored 6d might be more than 5d2(5d2 still prolly way awesome?). I just don't want to miss a potential good deal, unless you guys think prices on 5d3 an 5d2 may drop a bit after a potential 6d comes out? I have a 40d and 50d with a few efs lenses but I don't mind selling them, I would sell the 17-55 and 40d most likely. I can be very impulsive so I'm looking for grounded people to give me better advice. And if I go with 5d2 I want to buy the kit new. Thanks everyone I know I'm not the first one to make a thread like this!!

Lenses / My 17-55 2.8 for his 28-70 2.8 trade?

I want to go to full frame some day and I use crop now. I'm trying to sell my canon 17-55 2.8 to help fund the FF move. However I got an email off Craigslist from a guy that wants to trade his canon 28-70 2.8 for my 17-55 is it worth it? Assuming both lenses are equal condition as well.

EOS Bodies / Announcements today, eos mirrorless only camera?

My question is, will there be more announcements today or is the mirrorless along with its accessories all the fun we get today? I'm debating buying a 5d2 but if a newer entry is coming out soon I wonder if it's worth waiting or pick up a awesome 5d2 before they are all gone for good(new ones).
