What ones? the EX seem to promise fast Cycle times  while enloop say charged for a year. Other things to consider? please educate me as im going from throw always to 100% rechargeable.  about 64 batteries for PW's and 9 strobe

Lenses / 180 3.5 as a PORTRAIT LENS

I am told it does well but will always give a slight motion blur without a tripod (say on less than bright days)


I have a bunch of MACRO uses as well but the 100 2.8 is far superior due to IS.


Anyone have successes with the 180 as a Portrait LENS, thank you guys

Just wondering on above rings and or alternatives or Problems that occur (the filter plane(after using the ring) is not 100% paralleled with the Sensor etc...

is there better version of these type of things

any shared experience or advice is always helpfell

EOS Bodies / 1DX PRINTS FRAMED and MOUNTED

Having the 1DX give me a bit more quality and  i have a few things i want to print and sell so I am just wondering if there is a wide variety of frame stores out there that do good work for a sensible price.

I see Eframe in the UK but I need a more state side/Canadian solution.

Lenses / CPS - REPAIR

Just wondering on the COST focus repair in that the Limiter on the 70- 200 MK II now only works at 2m instead of 1.2m as well. don't know how/when it happened nothing is physically wrong with lens  but this limits HEAD shots etc.. Tried moving the switch back and forth and the basics seemly. Maybe its a pin in the lens to body contact area but it also fails on on other cameras so it is the Lens.

Now how much  COST if any of you have had experience with a repair in this realm the lens is 2+ years old warranty i think is gone. and its my go-to lens for most things complementing my other go-to the 24 mkII.

EOS Bodies / How do you list your CAMERA gear under your insurance?

Some friends have insurance otters do not saying its not worth it. I called once about my earlier set up pf 3 lenses 3 strobes 2 older bodies and they "could not " insure me at that time for approx 4000$. just wondering what and how and who to go with in Canada.

EOS Bodies - For Stills / 1D X problem

1 hour old i discover the EXTRA battery LP-4E (mk 3 battery) and or the Charger LC-E4N are defective.


Seems the LP-4E is with out charge OUT of the BOX and and the LC-E4N Flashes all lights GREEN at once and does not seem to charge the NATIVE LP-4EN which had a bit of charge to begin with.

LP-4E there is no FLASHING when it is attached to the charger. and the charge light does not light up.


any help would be good.

1D X Sample Images / 1D X - Memory Cards best burstrate with Lexar and Transcend Cards 400X and 300X

Just wondering if you guys own these cards, I do and wondering if they will hold up under a long burst rate with out a stutter.
