1000d couldnt tell you what it is in the rest of the world but it was the first one in the line of less than or lower level rebel its 10mp 3fps iso 100-1600 to give you an idea about 5 years old i guess im just going to buy a 650d i think i didnt realise how cheap they can be purchased 450ish in aus$ ill upgrade to the 70d when it comes out if i like its features the thing that put me off the 650d are these reviews saying that the picture quality, iso performance and dynamic range are all slightly less to the 600d but im sure its so small that i wont notice after all its the same sensor right?

simple: if Canon is too cheap and will not deliver a good body for a good price, there is always the alternative: Nikon - they are listening to the consumer's needs and are releasing really good bodies at lower prices than Canon...

And yet, Canon continues to sell more cameras.

You're not "everyone". More to the point, you're not anyone, so if you think your opinion matters a damn, you're even denser than your Drama Queen tantrums would currently suggest.

So sod off to Nikon and see where that gets you.

lol u mad brah? im a canon fanboy but im almost ready to say this guy is right canons seems to be dropping the ball especially in the Crop market (550-600 and where is 650/70 meanwhile d3200......... it probably beats them both, and for cheaper price), too bad every lens canon makes is better than every lens nikon makes

i don't have any zeiss glass (for eos bodies) but take a look at their new 15mm it looks like it could be a winner, who needs auto focus anyways........ but seriously at 15mm who does need auto focus...

it seems to say that a 550d sensor is a tiny bit larger than a 1000d does any1 know about the other bodies is one of these just a one off? Whilst on the topic does a crop sensor for canon crop to exactly 1.6 or are there a couple numbers left out?

1.8 also dont bother with a filter with this lens if you buy one that is worth while it will cost as much as the lens

Then I imagine they are willing to reconsider their pricing strategy. Prices of latest camera and lenses have been kinda  disconnected the economic reality as we know it IMHO...

If you're saying that you can't afford Apple products, or can but are unwilling to buy them for other reasons, fine - say that.  But to say Apple has 'lost sense of reality when it come to pricing' is a completely foolish statement.  Their sense of reality when pricing their products is nearly perfect, which is what accounts for the fact that Apple turns huge year-over-year profits and they are now have the largest market capitalization of any company in the world.  Their current market cap of $540B means the company is worth more than the GDP of some G20 nations.  But hey, you don't like them so they must be idiots, right? 

BTW, don't buy an iPhone.  Having a smartphone without a physical keyboard, especially in the business market segment, is unacceptable.  That lack of a physical keyboard is what makes the iPhone an overpriced toy, whereas a Blackberry is a useful business tool.  It's not like Blackberry would ever try to copy that feature, right?  (Psst...don't read the latest news...)

its their products that undoubtedly gain the revenue you can't make claims that their pricing is perfect really ever but the most suitable time would be when they have gone seriously wrong each way and since apple don't really change their prices.....
i cant stand apple though i love their products and their simplicity but the areas they lack are so frustrating no flash support on iphones i thought wouldn't be that bad but i ended up changing to a driod because of it. I dont really miss the iphone either. Their computers have nice software but i dont like paying for aluminum body or whateva it is and i like to upgrade my pc's which is hard but i have a little macbook air and it works i guess... so for rant which has nothing to do with anything

you fine for lenses really, an ultra wide, a telephoto and  fast prime are all nice but what you really need is a flash

a 300mm lens is not very practical for portraits at all, i lust over the 200 f2 so i would go for that

Please explain why MP is all that matters.

Of course it is not *all* that matters. But it helps with cropping when using a prime and macro shots, changing aspect ratio and different framing in post-processing, easier framing while shooting because cropping doesn't let you drop into too low mp regions.

Improve the IQ, Improve the NR, Improve the ISO across the board and do it without getting MP crazy.

With the 5d3 in the same mp range than the 5200, it can hardly be argued that 24mp is crazy, at least if Sony's sensor tech keeps delivering and the noise (at least when downsized to 18mp = Canon aps-c) and dr are within reason.

I don't think we'll see much of a 650d soon if Canon was as surprised by this as they seemed by the d800 - with the aps-c line being made for dlsr first-timers that don't have a lens zoo to keep and can easily "jump ship", imho the 600d is toast. Apart from running magic lantern, that is.

it will be funny for first time dslr buyers comparing the 1100d to the d3200 it has double the mps XD

i would skip the 50mm f1.4, i and get the 50mm f1.8 or maybe the 50mm f1.2. the 50mm f1.8 is the nearly as good as the 1.4 apart from build which is terrible. However both are not very good at their largest apertures. The f1.2 on the other hand is very good at f1.2 etc. The 70-200 is also another lens i would not pick as is isn't good for any low light because it has not is or f2.8 i would see if you could get your hands on the sigma 70-200 f2.8 non os which is non longer made as of last year or the canon 55-250 efs lens i do not have, or have ever used this lens out of the store but it seems to produce nice images. i would probably also consider replacing the kit lens with say a sigma 17-50 f2.8 os, that is if your getting the kit :O in my eyes it crazy to a 50mm as your widest lens but some people do...
