I twice got this bad situation with my gadgets. First you must remove the battery. Short circuit usually will cost you 50% of new one. Especially with any digital device with modular electronic boards inside.

When there's no warranty left, try to open most of the body then put it on hair dryer. Do not push too hard, you dont know every little screws and knacks inside. And dont over cooked with hair dryer too. When everything safe & dry, you can try it on. If it won't blink then go to repair store, if it back to life then you save around $50 at least.

For device under warranty, you can use rice then repair it in service center. When the hardware would not be covered, but you can save extra for service fee.

Assuming Lensrental meant Canon24 f/3.5 TS-E "MKII" (chart doesn't say MkI or II), that would be quite impressive for any zoom. 

The chart doesn't say Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5L MkII, but the article clearly says Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5L MkII (just before the chart).

I hope that was Mark I since I planned to buy Mark II for my first TS lens. Poisoned by Bryan DP.

I really dissapointed with 24mm result in 24-105, and I found 24-70 Mark I was worst beside I tested 4 copies. Good IQ in 24-35mm is prority when I purchase all around zoom lens.

I have both 135 f2 and 200 2.8. The 135 does not really like TC (i tried it with the 2x) .

135 does not like 1.4x too. I tried with version II and III as well. 70-200 f4 works better with extender and it's about the same price with 135. But for low light & fast wide open, 135 is very versatile.

I haven't printed as much as I'd like, and not much in monochrome, but I do have the P9000Mk2 and really like it. I got it on the B&H $200 rebate sale =D   It's large, make sure you have the desk room, and otherwise I have to say I'm quite happy with the occasional casual prints that I make which is what I bought it for. I think it probably does a better job than the Walgreens/RiteAid/etc down the street, especially since I have a color managed workflow.

Is it true that both Canon can only print borderless with certain Canon's own paper?

I think Epson is the one with heads that clog.  My 3880 takes one day before the red head starts to clog.  In two days, the yellow clogs as well.  I run a cleaning every other day to keep from any serious clog.  Expensive!

I also read Epson R3880 is much better than Canon P9500Mk2, but the price tag is $1699. Wewww...

Does anyone have experiences with both printers?

I want to purchase better printer than my old HP Photosmart. I read head clogging is a common problem for Canon Pixma. But since the price for Epson is very high, i think to stick with Canon.

The Problem is which one will I choose? P9000Mk2 is $470 while P9500Mk2 is $770. The newest Pro-1 is not coming yet. (in Indonesia). Is it worth to pay more for P9500Mk2 ?

My print schedule usually end of every month when all client's or gallery request already confirmed. I print 12x14 and below, 50% is monochrome.  This printer would be idle within first & second week. Most of our local labs print mono very bad, sometimes i got slight pink or magenta. Especially in BW.

It would work, probably will end up having to buy from Lee themselves, Amazon rarely stock these type of filters, even Hitech or Singh Ray are hard to find.

Singhray usually on stock in singhray, Hitech standard ND or ProStop always available in B&H or Adorama, but they are resin and very prone to color cast. Better to find Lee ProGlass that suit 2mm standard Lee Foundation Kit holder.

Else, you can find 82mm ring ND filter from good brands Like Hoya, Tiffen, or Heliopan.

Hi, i would like to ask what is the different between B+W F-Pro and B+W XS-Pro.
i only know that XS-PRO has tinner frame. Are Both have the same image quality and both has coating which easy to clean ?

F-Pro vs. XS-Pro refers only to the mount.  F-Pro is 5mm thick (except CPL), XS-Pro is 3.4mm thick.  The coating is identified by the designation of MRC (multi-resistant coating), Nano (MRC with slightly greater light transmission), or the lack of such a designation (which means single coated or uncoated).

The XS-Pros might be nanocoated by default.

I think so, Nano isn't an option and only comes with XS-Pro filters.

Some store still have plenty of older xs-pro without nano coating. They are slightly cheaper and packed in older light blue box. The newer ones would be black box.

I use Tiffen Digital HT UV. From my opinion, it's better than B+W XS-Pro beacause sometime XS-Pro creates yellowish image.  I never use lower grad F-Pro or newer XS-Pro with nano coating.

The filter i highly regard is Hoya Super Quality Pro1. Black box with gold text.

I have purchased Zeiss 2/25 at last. I compared both 2/35 and 2/25, both have very sharp and contrast IQ. But 2/35 has very strong CA, especially when we shot metallic or shining surfaces.

While 2/35 is the cheapest modern Zeiss lens ($950), 2/25 has tack sharp IQ even wide open. Almost as good as my 2.8/21. I haven't try with my 5DMk2 + Lee Holder to test vignetting and IQ since its filter size only 67mm. This filter size is one thing that make we worry. Why don't they make in 72mm or 82mm?

PS: i try 2.8/15 too... it's super duperlicious, but the price is way too highhhh....

Correction for Lee CPL, now they made round 105mm. But the thickness would be prone to vignetting.

singh-Ray made better LB Warming or the most expensive LB Combo with thinner ring, while Formatt made the cheaper one.

Sorry not to mention before... I already own 5DMk2 and pair with 5DMk2 have try 1.4/35 (http://www.flickr.com/photos/vonbon/7601185144#) when first launched in Indonesia at the first time last year.

This time I want lighter lens with Zeiss IQ pair with Canon 600D that I can carry everyday, fit into my messenger bag along with my notebook and gadgets. Zeiss 1.4/35 is bigger and heavy. All my friends already move to 1.4/35 or drop MF life, so I don't have any relative who can lend me their 2/35... except I go to photography store and try it onsite.

BozillaNZ, playing with MF is nice. Just twist to infinity and f5.6, and everything is smooth and sharp. Along with Zeiss lenses the color is pleasing. But thanks for the advise.

I'm wondering which of these lenses is the best application for everyday use in Canon 600D? 

I love Zeiss lenses and already own 2.8/21, 2/50, and 2/100. I borrowed 1.4/35 about a week, and I didn't like the size, weight, and somehow I can not get sharp focus properly. Just like my old 1.4/85 before I traded it with 2/100. I never use 2/35 or 2/25 at this time.

I read reviews that 2/35 is different from 1.4/35 in several ways (tone, color, bokeh etc)... but can not find comparison between 2/35 and 2/25. Thanks in advance.
