EOS Bodies - For Stills / Re: Canon Announces the Canon EOS 6D DSLR
« on: September 18, 2012, 12:35:30 PM »

The 6D will sell...a LOT.  It's just like when the 7D was launched to give those moving up from a Rebel to the x0D series another option in 2009... "7D or 50D?? Hmmm...if I buy the 50D will I wish I'd bought the 7D in six months?"

The 6D Will sell a lot????? HAHAHAHA............ At the same Price you can have something very very very BETTER: Nikon D600! I always loved Canon.... In the 2012 a product like that with that features and with that price is VERY VERY RIDICULOUS. See what the D600 have more for the same price!

You can't compare what happen with 7D: it's ridicolous!!.....

if the rumor specs are correct. I have no intention to buy this body. even for $1500

Agree with you!

At least an articulated screen, CF cards!, built in time-lapse, something new for who love taking video ecc....

Without these features, for the first time in my life I will buy a Nikon camera: D600........

I really don't understand people who say "I hate the articulated screen" ecc

I think that it is VERY VERY useful in photography and also taking video!

Ok, don't you like it?? SIMPLE don't move it! How is the problem??? Someone says "it is easy to break it"....... -_-!  if you use your things like a toy you could break everything!...

+1, yeah I still don't get this.  how can having the option to swivel the screen out be a bad thing?  I don't understand the "pro bodies don't have it" reason.  so what if pro bodies haven't had this feature yet.

Totally agree with you!  ;)

Think like that: "pro bodies don't have it"......elderly people should think so ;)

i'd vote for an articulated screen insted of touchscreen which is completly useless!!!!

a better sensor would be nice, but i doubt this new camera will have a better sensor than 5D 3.
a newer AF system is needed though from 5D 2

However reading the specs, this camera has completly no cost in developing something new.

- sensor taken from 5D 3 (best case scenario)
- AF taken from 7D
- touchscreen from 650D (and i really hope its a vari angle too, a vari angle screen in an FF camera is something i'd pay for instantly, doesn't matter the build quality)

canon re-sells parts which already sold and sell.
easy profit for canon, and i suppose it will come after nikons D600 probably seen in photokina this month!!

totally agree with you! (without touch screen!) ^^

As for now Canon does not implement flip screen into thougher and (at least partially) sealed bodies (1D, 7D and 5D series).

As Marsu42 has already said "The 7d was released before Canon had *any* bodies with swivel screen, so the reason might be completely different."

A swivel screen can be one of the features that can make a difference with a 5D MK3!

swivel screen is a must!

can't do video without it
and its a tool for low angle shots

want some better sealing go buy 5D3 or 7D

TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU! ! ! !  :) :) :)

My wish specs:

-flash bult-in

-SWIVEL SCREEN (I don't understand some "stupid" words like "without a swivel screen is more solid......". OBVIOUSLY if you use your reflex like a toy is very easy to break it!... So who don't want a swivel screen can think at the same time that also with a flash built-in is less "solid".... A swivel green is FANTASTIC. You don't like it? Simple: don't use it!!

-CF card

-time lapse in camera

-continuos AF for video like the 650D

With these features I'll buy it immediately!  ;D

What I'd like to see

swivel screen!
one CF slot
19 Af points

Without all that super professional features of the 5D MK3.

Price 1800 euro with a non L obb.

This could be PERFECT for me and a lot of people!

its a handy tool for low angle shots.

My hope:
19 af point
swivel screen
CF card!!!
built in flash
viewfinder 100%

2000 euro

The canon entry level full frame will be 6D! It makes no sense call it 7D MK2! the xD comeback to FF; the XXD will be top of aps-c!  :)

My hope is: entry level full frame with swivel screen + 24-105L= 2000 Euro!  ;D
