I could potentially buy it with a metabones adapter just to use it with my Canon lenses for landscape photography,

It seems metabone EF-FE adapter is not available yet.  They only have EF-NEX adapter at this moment.

Nice look on both.  But only until you see that notorious Lens Error (unable to extend) on S120  ;D  It happened to my S95 twice already despite the camera never be abused or dropped.  Many S-series owners have that lens error.  Maybe Canon will give buyers of these collection cameras a lifetime warranty  :D

Discuss the review of the Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8L IS II here.

Without reading the review, just give me this lens and 24-70 f2.8 II on FF...........I'm done :-X

No need to carry: 24L, 35L, 50L, 85L, 135L, and 200L

That's what I did to get two Canon F2.8 II zoom and 17 TS-E in the holiday season with Amazon 10% off sweet deals on top of Canon best instant rebate.  Yes I'm done with 5DIII :)  I don't need those L primes but may get Sigma 35/1.4 or 85/1.4 (hope Sigma updates it) later as they are very good but 1/2 price of Canon counterpart.

When you register a product in CPS, you only need a serial number and there is no info for where you bought from and price etc that are in regular Canon product registration.  I also called Canon CPS (as a CPS member) twice before and after I bought 5DIII from BVI.  They told me the same that Canon simply has no policy that you must buy from authorized dealers to be covered in warranty or post warranty services as there is no such item in End User Agreement, period.  However they do insist theoritically they can ask a copy of USA warranty card but in reality all persons I spoke to say in reality they usually don't ask as I experienced in person when I sent my S95 (lens unable to extend) and 60D (rubber peeled off around shutter) in services during warranty, I was never asked to include a copy of USA warranty card but only a copy of receipt to prove it's purchased within one year from a company registered in USA.  Both Canon USA and CPS told me that they no longer be able to tell a product is USA or grey imported based on serieal number.  Canon USA guy even told me they usually also cover imported grey products in service as courtesy.

Anyway for this 1DX I'd buy if I need 1DX if there is a USA warranty card regardless if it's authorized dealer or not that is really irrelavent.  I am very happy on my purchase of 5DIII on that unbeatable price  :)

Grey market is one thing, but my recent purchase from BVI (5D3 for $2599) came w/o an eye cup and all  generic accessories (eg. battery, charger, strap, etc.)

After almost a month of back and forth, I was finally able to get a full refund.

A month to get a full refund....WOW

Thanks for sharing

You can file a case in eBay so BVI should not receive the payment until it resolved.  When I bought 5DIII from BVI, the listed item said has USA warranty and it has 30-day money back policy so I took their words granted on description.  I cannot resist $2500 price and my purchase is protected by eBay anyway.  So I don't have much to worry about.

Check this http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3340608?page=5

I am not the only one received the card.  I attached the photos of OEM box (24-105L kit box with the lens removed), BVI receipt and USA warranty card in that thread.

I bought 5D III body from the BigValueInc at $2499.99 on the Black Friday special deal.  It's brand new with the USA and Canada warranty registration card included.  If this one has the registration card included it will be excellent deal.  I called Canon USA then.  They told me Canon has no policy that you must purchase from authorized dealers to cover one-year standard warranty or post warranty service.  USA registration card is required but usually Canon doesn't ask to send a copy of the registration card for service, at least I was never asked when I sent 60D and S95 for the warranty services.  They also told me they are unable to check if a camera is a USA model or not based on the serial number.  It's a tough call for this expensive camera at this price if it's a grey imported.
