Lenses / Re: I *HATE* UPS.
« on: November 29, 2014, 12:01:54 AM »
You should read the UPS minium packaging requirements.  All packages must be packaged as to survive a 6 foot drop by the shipper.

3 feet is nothing if properly packaged.

Remember the conveyer belt is 6 feet off of the sorting center floor and when they have a backup some packages do fall to the floor thus the spec.

It is the shippers responsibility to package properly.

I have had fedex home change status to note left without ever leaving there depot.

Best to know your driver and there cell #,  that way you do not have to wait just meet them and go home early.

Paper manual = recycle material.
PDF manual = useful, searchable, and takes no space.

Impossible to read with just your eyes, thus not a user manual!  Only a computer file.

The 1Ds III successor is the 5D MKIII.

That said my wish list is:

A 1DX style body with a 1.6 crop sensor

A 1DX style body with a high MP sensor

Yup, -2ev. There is no point for -3, since 7D II is an outdoor camera.

Not so, good AF is always relevant.

Even flash photography sucks if you can not get the camera to focus!

EOS Bodies / What is the low light AF spec. In EV for the EOS 7D MK II ???

Will, we're you spaced when you read the original post, it is made quite clear that a new battery didn't fix the problem so a repair was needed.
Is it you who should read and comprehend before spouting off? :o

Cheers, Graham.

Graham, please quote exactly where this is clearly stated???

Why would you disassemble a camera to replace the clock battery?

A 1D? Body with 1.6 APS-C sensor.

(A cross between a 1DX & 70D, 1DX body with 70D sensor)

At a 1DX price ok too.

A total kick-ass camera!

Canon General / Re: Travel charger for Canon LP-E4N battery
« on: April 01, 2014, 11:41:57 PM »
The Canon LC-E4N battery charger that comes as standard equipment with the 1D-X is rather large and difficult to pack for long trips.  Has anyone found a smaller alternative that works safely with LP-E4N batteries?

It is called an inverter, 12 VDC to 110 VAC.
