So many goodies in this new camera. Makes you wonder why would anyone get a 6d now!

No mention of a better image quality? All the talk is surrounding the autofocus.

My hopes for a better image quality evaporated as soon as I saw the promo vid of the pizza guys. Obviously, they have nothing exciting to show in regards to IQ so they focus on showing how good autofocus is, and video capabilities and touchscreen to focus etc, etc... Which is all good and welcomed, but that was not what I was looking for, I was looking for a photo camera, not a video camera.  I guess this is it, here is where the path splits - DSLRs for video, Mirrorless for pictures.

Finally!!! Looks good enough! Now I'm really torn between this and the 6D.

Are these the big pixel cameras from Canon everyone is talking about? Or were they referring to the MPs?

Has anyone tested out the SL1's sensor yet? How is it performing? My bet is that the image quality remains the same. Canon would probably want to announce the 70D before the SL1 is released to the public because once they realize the IQ is not better than the old 18MP sensor, nobody is going to buy it.

So they've decided to skip the 70D altogether... Seems legit, if they were thinking of releasing another camera with the same old sensor.

GUYS! Chill!
I was referring to the generation/technology of the sensor and not to the number of the megapixels themselves! I don't care about the megapixel count as long as they are more than 8 (personally 10mp is enough for my needs).

I just want to see a "next gen" sensor by Canon though. Something that will be on par with Sony/Oly sensors.

Maybe we should start calling it the "7D sensor" from now on.

Midrange is dead. It's either now toyish rebels or full frame DSLRs.
