24-70 v1 most of the tyme.  Itz a tank, but is right in the range of my talent.  And, you can shoot in the rain, up here, in the beautiful Miami Beach of Canada(upstate NY).

My username is based on my fascination of hyphenated names, probably from watching too much Carson, Leno, Letterman, Pythons, et al, on late night television.  So, it is a combination of catwalker Heidi Klum, and former 3rd baseman for the Dodgers, Ron Cey, accompanied by a first name and middle initial which fit my level of talent.

Some very good advice above, eh?  All I can add is to try and visit the venues to be used before you have to go live to determine lighting and sound quirks, angles, shooting positions, et al.  "Emergency weddings" are why I restrict myself to elopements where run & gun is my 1st and only General Order.

Among the sites I frequent, Rockwell has probably saved me $ over time.  He, and others, frequently say:(paraphrased) 'if you are not a full time pro, this upgrade is probably not worth it for you".  That said, I'm am enjoying my week old MkIII.

With a video background, while relearning stills, I have to say that the 5DII- 1.2L  combo is $ in the bank.  Also, very nice for my deserted streets at 4 AM/PM folio.  And, it is good to see the word "pedantic", one of my favorites, get some press.
