Lenses / Re: Which Canon Full Frame Camera is For You?
« on: December 23, 2014, 01:34:28 AM »
Three weeks ago I purchased a 6D (N) version body (one without GPS and Wifi) for US$ 1299 on ebay. I reckon I've done a good deal in terms of value-for-money. Moving from a 6 year old 500D, of course I never had experience on a fancy pants 5DIII or 1DX, but I doubt I would have been twice or three times more amazed by those "pro" bodies as they cost twice or three times more.

Hi buddy, I have a 500D body and similar lenses line-up as yours plus a few cheap primes. They're still doing everything just fine. (40+ shots explored on flickr and a few sales on Getty Images). Personally I wouldn't upgrade any time soon. Hold on to your money or invest in something else (like setting up a home studio or a trip to an exotic photo location overseas). Just my two cents...

I bought this lens brand new about two years ago, and soft corners have persisted ever since. Stopping down doesn't seem to help at all. So I don't think yours has any real hardware issues. Most probably just a general character of this lens.
