I am patiently awaiting a replacement camera, and I LOVE my 1DX.  What is the REALISTIC time-line for a replacement and what would make sense for this new generation 1DX, technology wise?

WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD I DUMP MY 1DX??  This camera is certainly NOT a replacement for it, unless of course I missed the fact that it shoots at least 12 fps!

When I purchased my 600 I couldn't fit it in my backpack so I looked around and the only bag that I could find, anywhere was a Tamrac Expedition 9X bag....I can put my 600 down the middle, with the lens hood still attached...can still put my 1DX, charger, a couple more smaller lenses and some other accessories in the backpack....I NEVER EVER CHECK ANY PHOTOGRAPHY EQUIPMENT AS BAGGAGE.  Waaaay too many thieves who work for the airlines....My wife carries my second back pack with my 200-400, my MK IV and the rest of my lenses, etc....a lot of carry but when I am in Africa, Alaska, or anywhere else I would rather have too much equipment than be sitting around going, why didn't I bring that with me...

This camera needs to be something very special or they might as well just not come out with a new one.  1DX is already a near perfect camera.....some sort of technological breakthrough with more fps and better autofocus is what I want.

I didn't see any, but I sure saw a lot of photographers using the 200-400!!

Then its about time that they gave us something really spectacular in a high megapixel DSLR or something significantly better than the 1Dx

I have both the 24-105, which is one of my 'go to' lenses as well as the new 100 Macro...both very fine lenses and worth every penny of their you need the 70-200 and a 1.4 extender

Well I was shooting a MK IV, that I still have and I thought that it was the provbial end of the rainbow camera, UNTIL I GOT MY 1DX.....Made me a better photographer and I know that I have much to learn with that camera...having said this I can't wait for the next generation 1DX to come out...I am having fun trying to figure out just what the improvements will be though!  Faster shutter speed?  That is somthing that all of us action shooters would love to see....better auto-focus?  Yep.....better low light capabilities?  Ditto on that one too....
