It's very good on the 5DII but when I don't use it I have to remove the battery because it drains the battery in 2 days!

I'm Italian, nothing important! Specs are confirmed, capacitive LCD you can focus and shoot a photo touching it, 14bit files, the adapter let the user mount every lens of the EOS system, the sensor is the same of the one on the 650D the same can be said about the build quality, it's possible to connect an external mic and the little flash shown can be used as master (nice). The woman ask about a possible viewfinder model and he answer that for now there is no need, we are and he is "a dslr user and he knows there is smth magic about looking into a viewfinder but nowadays people look at their LCDs to took photos, because they wanna look what happens around them" so it's not a camera aimed to pros! And he says that maybe in the future there will be -.-" he talks a lot about the difference between contrast and phase AF! That's it, no mention of the price, good, tomorrow I'll going to buy my first Fuji the X-Pro1, I hoped so badly Canon was going to announce a camera like that aimed to the pro's, too bad, I'll stick to canon with full frame dslr! goodnight! nice consumer grade camera, but imho not for pros (unless with some stellar picture quality and ISO performance), look so similar to nikon j1/v1, but as all we have seen nikon drew a blank with those two models. I don't know why canon doesn't look at what others do before starting to make a new camera.. 

I'll wait for the full specs hoping in a top notch autofocus at least..

I just got my fuji x10 back from having the sensor replaced after an epic fight with them
and its even worse now the on off is flakey and at iso 100 DR400 and M mode the noise looks more like iso 6400

gonna have to take it back next week AGAIN

I dont think i'll buy anything from FUJI again in a hurry i dont care how good it looks on paper or a graph

correct me if i'm wrong but with dr400, you can't set the iso to the value of 100.. so, I don't know what ur talking about btw, I don't know the x10, but the x-pro1 is at par with my 5DII (except for the fast lenses)

I hope the pack it with some serious fast primes (f/1.4, I doubt they will use faster lenses) rather than "consumer-grade" zoom. I'm waiting 'till monday hoping in a nice announcement otherwise I think I'll go to fuji for my "always-with-me" camera..



btw here it's a graph found on dpreview.com of the chroma noise of some cameras, including the X-Pro1 and the 5D mark III the fuji beat out the cr*p of all these camera according to chroma noise (it wins also with the other two kind of noise btw but not with such a large margin).
I think other manufacturer should try to implement smth like fuji did with this sensor! too bad the autofocus is not top notch, otherwise the X-Pro1 would have been an hell of a camera!

the sigma is an amazing lens! but make sure to try it, especially for front and back focus at different focusing distances! I had this (incorrigible) problem on mine and fortunately my dealer contacted Sigma for a replacement, and they give me a prefect lens! Sharp as hell (I have testet it against the 85L and @1.4 in the center they are equally sharp, @1.6 they are the same), it focuses fast (not like the super slow 85L, the main problem I had with the 85L) and the bokeh is great (but the 85L is a little better, but not that much better)! btw here some samples: http://www.flickr.com/photos/alfeel/tags/sigma85mmf14exdghsm/

can i ask you at which iso the banding became visible? and how does the mark III behave bringing up the exposure in post (if u underexpose by mistake) does the image become noisy and banded? thanks for the samples btw, it looks very good!

I don't know u guys but i think it's pretty soft for stopped down aperture!

here it's a sample of the brand new 24/2.8 IS, and it's way sharper!
EOS 5D Mark Ⅱ, 24 mm, 1.61 sec (yep, this IS works well), F/11, ISO 100
