EOS Bodies / Re: A Real EOS M Replacement Coming Soon? [CR1]

Ah yes, wishlists!

- AF on par with Sony/MFT
- EVF on par with Sony/MFT
- Zebras / Peaking

- Tilty screen
- WiFi
- 60pfs @1080
- current form factor is great, but i wouldnt mind it a little bigger to accomodate good new features
- the grip could be bigger, i think it could easily bulge out to match the depth of the 22mm
- a better rear wheel and perhaps another good dial would be ace

It seems too much to say that it bests the mkIII in terms of stills but the video is astonishing, leaves every Canon in the dust.

They should come out with more freaking leanses though and not the uber expensive Zeiss with stupid electronic focus ring.

EOS Bodies - For Stills / Price tag to sell a Canon 7D
« on: May 27, 2014, 11:33:17 AM »
Hi Canonites,
I would like to sell my 2+ years old Canon 7D in a local online marketplace, the cam has all the accessories, box and normal signs of use like a couple of minor scratches. It has done 44k clicks.

Here in NL the new bodies sell for 1000/1100 euros, so I was thinking to price it around 650.

How much would you ask for the camera?

your move Sigma, make me believe! :D

excuse me for the perhaps stupid question, but why Sony produced these cameras with the E mount, don't they have already full frame lenses on the A mount? wouldn't it make more sense to give it a native A with already available lenses instead a mount for which they still have to come out with some? I mean the current E mount line is only crop isnt it?

sounds a bit unnecessary the canon is not even that expensive..

i think sigma should aim for an ultra wide zoom or prime, i think they will see big bucks if the come out with a good 14mm 2.8

looks a bit plasticky for a 1600$ crop body.. also it costs the same as the 6D. now i officially have no idea about canon's policy anymore.

I voted for what I would like (1300) but it will be so much higher I'm afraid. I think at least 300 bucks more that the 7100

EOS Bodies / Re: Canon wins big at TIPA

TIPA is a mystery
I have a good friend who has been a member of  the TIPA jury for many years, their have their meetings and vote for equipments they have not tried or seen .

So it would seem, the Canon 1dX C is not even out yet.. :/

Quote from: Sony Rumors
The RX200 will have an improved 28-140mm f/1.4-2.2 lens (compared to the current 29-105mm f/1.8-4.9)

If true, 140mm f/2.2 means a substantially bigger lens assembly, meaning the RX-200 would lose the current form factor - one big reason for its popularity.  I'm very tempted by the RX-100, but if the successor won't fit in a jeans pocket like the current model, no interest from me.

Is 140mm f/2.2 even possible on such a small scale? Are there any predecessors? It sounds like one of those 18-300 f1.4 lenses that people like to dream of on this forum.. but Im ready to eat the printout of this post with salad if it will actually happen! ;)

Photography is like a conversation with someone who lets me ask lots of questions. But I usually only get a good answer when I ask a good question.
