the nexus 5 is worst than my lumia 1020 taking shots at any iso and the lumia 1020 is good considering it's a phone, but it isnt any better than a dslr like a canon 60D; post some samples

Am I the only one who is impressed (read: terrified) by the 2460 focusing points?
Of course not many wanted to buy yesterdays shitty mirrorless. Dwarf-sensored nikon 1? Slow as molasses eos-m? Retro styled fujis? mft-sensored stuff? Poor EVFs? Give me a break!
It will change as soon as really good ff mirrorless arrives. Sony A7/R are the first inkling. Even better stuff will follow. Dslrs will be gone. Like all those german rangefinders went out the door in the 70s when good SLRs became available from the japanese. This time round it might be korea and taiwan doing it to the japanese. Hehe!
Sigma's biggest strength has always been and continue to be their pricing.
On my old S3IS I just plugged the camera in and downloaded. The downside was that Canon apparently doesn't like just any old program looking at files on that camera, I had to use their software, so you have the potential that some bureaucrat will decide to limit when/how you access your files.
If properly implemented it would be preferable to use USB3 over a card reader, and I wouldn't worry about future compatibility, it will be quite a while before any flash cards (at least sub $1,000 ones) saturate the 400MB/s bandwidth afforded by USB3.
Not that the peak bandwidth of USB3 matters much since the your HDD will still only write between 100-200MB/s. Unless you run multiple drives in RAID or plan on buying a lot of flash storage you're not going to be able to saturate USB3.
The bottom line is that USB2 at 10-20MB/s is terrible, and should generally be avoided if you care about data transfer time.
Very similar specs when compared to the 7D. I would have thought that this needs to be better than 7D in all aspects including fps.
Dumb question. will the new Sigma crop zoom work on my mark IV? I am fixing to do some traveling I hope. And only want to bring one lens for landscape and people.
