Hopefully the Rebels start getting more than 9 AF points around that time.yes, 11 point AF from the 6D!
But when? Not spring. Canon has to milk buyers with the 7D2 for a year or so. If they released 5D4 with 7D2's AF feature in spring (5 months after 7D2 got released (not introduced)), who would buy the 7D2, if the 5D4 offers same or even tweaked AF with slightly lower frame, but better IQ?
I'm mostly curious about the 5D replacement. Spring or not?
and not think that it has something to do, at least partly, with differences in camera technology (particularly at the high end.) ..... It's just difficult to think the market share shift is entirely unrelated to the differences in sensor technology. The reason why Nikon's sales went up compared to Canon (in the High end part) is because they release their s.h.i.t. every 6 months (with incremental improvements - D600/D610, D800e/D810, D4/D4s), and people jump for the new stuff.
No reason to preorder "new" technology before all the bugs are worked out!this isn't Nikon
TBH the 5DMKIII has a great AF and at 6.5fps and FF quality you can't go wrong...it's 6 FPS, not 6.5 FPS.
I think the new camera sounds ace and I want one but I'm a bit miffed at the price here in the UK. at current exchange rates the US price of 1800$ works out at about £1100 and the European price of 1700 euros at about £1350. Yet we are to be charged £1600. Rip off Britain strikes again.European price in Slovenia means 2000 euros (2587$) and not 1700, as you stated.
5 Years for a same generation sensorwhere does it say it's same? in your head? in a rumour? official canon announcement?
I am so trilled
