When I hold my 5d3 in public, I get unwelcoming stares, but when my 9 year old daughter holds it, she gets the "you're sooo cute" looks - some will even pose for her.

Lesson: hire a 9 year old assistant!

Lenses / HELP - Which lens is best for blown-out white background

I have plans to shoot individual portraits against a blown-out white paper background. My strobes will be flagged and lens will have the hood on to reduce flare, but I will still have good amount of light reflected from the background coming into my lens.  My Question: which of my lenses will produce the least amount of flare/haze.  My Canon Lenses are 24-70 f/2.8 I, 70-200 f/2.8 IS II or 85L f/1.2 II.  I am aware that haze can be reduced/fixed in post.  I'll light the white background paper with two reflective umbrellas and one big softbox for keylight. I am hoping someone has been there and done that so I don't have to test and compare them myself.  Thank you.

I am pretty happy with V1, but if MKII had IS, it would have made it irresistible specially for video.

Since this thread has gone WAY offline, so here it goes..  I am a customer of B&H, but I must point out that the store's management and sales staff are predomintely orthodox jews, while lower positions are predomiently non-jews.  Does anyone else see anything wrong with that? What happend to equal apportunity employment?

If this happens at chick-fil-A, then I would have a problem with them as well!

They fixed the light leak, but metering is still wrong for times when you want to shoot with lens cap on.  It's pitch black for heaven's sake, so how is the light sensor coming up with any exposure setting?  What is the right exposure setting for pitch black?

Thanks for the feedback.  The first image has sharpening, contrast, clarity and vibrance applied to it.  The other two are pure out of the camera with no post processing.  i believe the HDR mode was natural for the first one and Art for 2 and 3.

Playing with the built in HDR feature.  All shots were handheld, but I was anchored to something solid.  Used the in-camera jpeg HDR +-3EV processing and mild touch ups in LR4.1
