Lighting / Pixel King help
« on: March 29, 2014, 09:40:48 PM »
I just ordered the pixel king transceiver and 2 receivers (not the new Pro models) . I have three canon 430 ex II's.

I don't know if I'm missing something but I have both receivers set to channel one and both group A. Both flashes on the receivers are turned on and set to ettl.

The problem comes up with the transceiver part. I have the 430 ex II turned on and set to ettl. The transceiver is turned on to group A channel 1. So when I take a test picture both receiver flashes fire but the flash on the transceiver does not fire. Am i missing something on the set up or do I have a defective transceiver? (I switched the flashes around so its not a flash problem). I also am using a 6D.

Hope this is enough information for you to understand my problem. Thanks for the help.

Speedlites, Printers, Accessories / Flash setup help
« on: January 24, 2014, 08:24:01 AM »
I am wanting to buy a couple flashes and I'm not for sure what to do.  I don't get paid for anything so I'm trying to keep it a cheaper setup. I already have the canon 430exII. I want to buy two more flashes so I can have the 3 flash setup for cars, family pictures, ect. I still want to have the ETTL ability so I can adjust power levels from the camera (transmitter). I have been looking at the Pixel King transmitters/receiver.

http://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Trigger-Flashes-Transmitter-Receiver/dp/B005TQFRTY/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1390569022&sr=8-4&keywords=pixel+king

I think that would be a good system from what I read is it will be able to the the ETTL things I want it to do.
So the 2nd part is what type of flashes would you recommend. I am thinking about buying 2 of the Yongnuo 560 III flashes.
Would that work for what I am wanting to achieve? Thanks

Sucks being a poor college student; so much stuff I want but so little money! D=

I am right there with you on this one. That's why I hope this is the lens that can satisfy my need for the 400 5.6 prime.

How about the Tokina 16-28 2.8?

From what I herd is that the Tokina is close to the 16-35 in quality and its alot cheaper ($700) compared to around $1,600.

Then if you need 14mm you can get the canon or rokinon.

Had my 60D in my backpack ice fishing all day (about 7 hours). It was -14 when we went out and topped at 20. The camera worked perfectly but the hands didn't want to operate as fast  :)

(it doesn't get that cold very often in Nebraska like it does in Norway but that's the coldest I had mine)

I was really excited when I saw that on TV last night. But with that picture of the Sony the lens looks very close but I think that's a canon body though.
