Any info on whether there will be a new PV (process version)?

If Canon will produce a sensor with the dynamic range and relatively noiseless shadows of the Sony sensor, I will consider it. I did consider buying the Nikon D800 when it was first available. That was not because of the resolution which is excessive for most usage but for the quality of the image shadow details.Agree.
I really don't have much use for such high-resolution image files although I could change my mind if the dynamic range is an improvement.
I would give almost anything for a sharp, reliable 50mm lens like the 35 IS
Same here. I'd be ok with f1.8 or f2, but would really like a 1.4 version w/ IS. That would be a killer walk around lens for me. And, I think it could be similar in size to the 35mm IS, when looking at past lens sizing (I.e. 35 f2 vs 50 1.4), but I'm no physics expert
mmm, a lens that when used open wide means you either get a person's nose, eyes or ears in focus.
Then you can have a look at this: https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10152698112494763Thanks. Impressive, although I'm not informed enough to really know what to look for.
The original 7D was an amazing camera with a mediocre sensorMediocre by 2014 standards?
...the 5DII was a mediocre camera with an amazing sensorI'll agree that the AF of the 5d2 was underwhelming.
As wildlife photographer there is a lot of important key features.Agree, as long as the wildlife weren't moving around much in dim light.
think is as 1dx with smaller sensor.....
I'm anxious to see what the new sensor has to offer. Hopefully, it's got more latitude than the 18 mpx it replaces.
