21. Poor F choices, lighting, post processing (and so forth) ruin your p0rn viewing moments.

LOL!!!   :D

Thanks for the heads up on this.  Had planned to wait to see if Canon would announce a new 35L, but at this price I couldn't wait any longer.  I ordered one which should be here tomorrow.
You are welcome  :)

Apparently quite a few folks backed out of final purchase. According to the site, only 86% (of whatever number they were offering) were sold...

Thanks to that guys I got mine... I was in the waiting list  ;D

Lenses / 24-70L II + step down ring to 77mm + polarizer
« on: October 22, 2013, 07:09:34 PM »
Hi Everyone!

I pulled the trigger with the 24-70L 2.8 II, so I bought his 82mm UV filter... however... the 82mm Kaesemann polarizer is over 200 dlls!!!... auch...

I already have the 77mm Kaesemann polarizer.

Someone has tried to use a 77mm filter with the 24-70L II with an step down filter adapter?

How bad is the vignette?

Thanks Everyone!

I have the 'holy trinity' – 35L, 85L II, 135L.  Well spaced, and a versatile collection of focal lengths.
+1 If money is not an issue

85mm 1.8 is amazing too

Technical Support / Re: Canon 5D3 at airshow

Jim & Click,

Thanks, the 109 is actually known as a Buchon and it's Spanish. That rascal Hitler sold 'em to Franco minus engines (ahh, what a gent, never buy a used car from a Nazi dictator, that's what I say). It wasn't until 1947 that we (the Brits) sold them Merlin engines to power them. It was weird to see a Spanish Buchon Bf109 painted in German colours (they had to get special permission to do so) and sounding like a Spitfire. I don't think there is an emoticon to describe all that.

Take care.

Beautiful picture... I would need extra underwear if I saw (and ear) that plane...

Focal length: the longer the better.
Exposure time: the shorter the better ~ 1/1000 sec.
I used my 300 f/4 L IS with the 5DII

The first one is amazing!

« on: June 11, 2013, 06:31:27 PM »
Sell everything except the 85mm 1.8, that lens is pretty good for portraits, and give you a little extra length vs the 24-70II,  I don't know what kind of events you take, but a fast zoom its super handy at weddings and events like that.
