Thanks for advise. Sandisk also contacted me very quickly and advised to format card in PC. It did not help and im now waiting instructions to exchange card. Sandisk gave good and quick replies and responsability of faulty card (i have been slow to reply them).

PowerShot / G16 card error
« on: October 13, 2013, 11:52:55 AM »
A week ago i purchased G16 with Sandisk Extreme 32GB 45/Mb/s card.
Immediatelly from beginning i started to get "card error" messages when starting camera and still continues 2 times of 3. I have formatted card several times but no help.
I still have to try to mix SD cards with one from my 5D to see if it continues but meanwhile i wonder if anyone have got same issue?

After trying many options, im now using NorthFace messenger bag in size M. Its not padded but i have ThinkTank soft lenscase for 70-200 which can use for shorter lenses when 70-200 in in camera. Bag is very lightweight and water/rain resistant.

Friends I will be in Bangkok for a month from 22nd of this month.
I will be busy during days with my work, but the nights are mine!

Please advice where I should go to do night street photography.

And if anyone of you lives there, lets meet up!

Over-reacting is not good, use simply common sense, Bangkok is similar to many big metropolis in good and bad.
I carry 5D3 with L lenses all the time, ofcourse night time one needs to be carefull everywhere but not stoppping to enjoy photographing. Chinanatown is my favourite and very lively at days and nights, great food too.
Enjoy your stay

Lenses / 2 filters jammed together
« on: April 12, 2013, 12:40:58 AM »
My brother went to a seaside holiday and used 2 filters on top of each others. Now these UV and Circular Polarised filters are jammed together but off from lens. Do you have experienced same, any advise how to unscrew without braking them.
Thanks in advance! :-\

Blackrapid  sport strap! :)

Simple, my first name is Risto and i live in Bankgkok, BKK ;-)

In Thailand its almost "standard" to use it, most of the shops even gives and installs it for free when you buy, camera, iPad, phone... Thin plastic film is unvisible, but very protective. But there is also different qualities, as always cheapest is not the best. No matter of hot or cold weather.Cost of replacing is nearly nothing comparing to replace LCD costs$$. I woudnt use my gears without.
