Is the studio strobe [supposed to be]synching with a wire or radio?
I assume you find it works without tethering.

Yes, I shoot wireless and it works fine as long it is not connected to the computer.

I would recommend you the 5Dc. I`ve been using it for pro weddings and travel photography since it's release. It's a great camera though slow in extreme low light situations. I bought the 5D markIII on november, but with good light I still use the 5Dc.

I 'm trying to shoot stills with a 5d mark III and the EOS Utility Software with Elinchrome Flashes, but for some reason they do not fire when the camera is connected to the software through my Mac Book Pro.
Any suggestions?

Missing an exposure is not incompetence it is just an error that everybody in this forum , except you, has committed.

In my experience Hdr with only one shot is a very destructive process if you start up with just one shot on a limited dr camera as my 5D mark III.  So, for me,  HDR only works well on static subjects. I wish my 5D III would ha 14 stops DR.

Anyone knows the real difference in DR on the 5DIII between ISO 100 normal and 200 with hilight tone priority?

Shoot Raw + Large fine jpeg. You'l have the jpeg files and raw to cover from exposure errors. Basic raw developing is really easy.
You'll see more the difference between the two cameras when developing raw.

I do have some experience with landscape panoramas. I use PS's photomerge and a RRS nodal slide. The thing is that I've seen a business opportunity with 360º panoramas (with some floor and ceiling) and web based virtual tours and I have no idea how to do it and the best possible setup.
I talk about the Sigma 15mm f/2.8 EX DG Fisheye because it seems a good and affordable lens which I could use not only for the panoramas since I don't like circular fisheyes. So if the Sigma 15mm f/2.8 EX DG Fisheye on my 5D markIII,  will allow me to do this kind of panoramas shooting just one row that´s the lens I would buy.

Hello, I talked with canon tech service about adjusting the focus of my 16-35L, 24-70L and 70-200L to my %D mark III and I was told that the micro adjustments of the 1DX and 5D mark III are only useful with LII lenses since it adds a third focusing parameter that the L series lack.
Is it true the there is not worthwhile adjusting my lenses?

Thanks, the lens I'm talking about is the Sigma AF 15mm f/2.8 EX DG Fisheye. So if I understand correctly,  I can make 360º panos with a single row of 6 vertical shots, not needing to make two more rows of images rotatin up and down.

Do you have an example of a 360º pano with your lens at 15mm on a fullframe?

I want to take 360º panoramas with my 5D. Can I use the sigma 15mm rectangular fisheye or will I need a circular fisheye?
If it can be done with the sigma 15mm rectangular fisheye, how many shots wilI I need?
