i'd say bit more simple, the roman numeral things getting a bit long and convoluted...  and x sounds a bit more cool!

Lenses / Re: 135L or 100L macro?
« on: January 18, 2012, 11:59:58 AM »
i got the 100 purely because of the macro... useful for me as a wedding photographer, tight shots of flowers, details like rings...  as always on these questions comes down to what you use it for...

guy i know uses the mk1 and he just got his fellowship...  it ain't the camera that matters...

anyone that doesn't read the Seth Golding blog i recommended that you start...  this one seems pertinent to the original question and what i was trying to say...

"Walking away from "real"

As in, "that's not a real football team, they don't play in Division 1" or "That stock isn't traded on a real exchange" or "Your degree isn't from a real school."

Real contains all sorts of normative assumptions and implicit criticisms for those that don't qualify. Real is just one way to reject the weird.

My problem with the search for the badge of real is that it trades your goals and your happiness for someone else's."

A much worse case from the US, where a woman gets arrested for filming from her own property:

you'll have to search youtube but there is a great one of a brit guy filming police from his door step, they try and stop him but he stands his ground and eventually the police leave (while been filmed) with their tails between their legs.
