Lenses / Re: Cheap fisheye for canon full frame?

I was in the same situation, I wanted to get a Fisheye but not spending too much, after a little bit of reading I decided to get the Siggy 15mm DG EX, so far I'm quite happy with it.  ;D

+1   BlackRapid Sport Slim

The comfort difference between a neck strap and the black rapids is huge, I was using the neck strap during my trips and at the end of the day there was pain on my neck. But since I bought the black rapid, I cannot go back to neck straps, It's waaay more comfortable for a full day of walking (I was recently in Copenhagen with my camera attached 24/7) and no pain at all.
Plus you don’t have the camera bothering and jumping on the front screaming look at me I'm a Canon – insert model here -  Guy!   ;D

Two years ago, I found myself in the same situation as you, I had the kit lens and the Nifty Fifty, but I wanted a better walk around lens, the battle was between the 17-55 and the 15-85. After seriously thinking about pros and cons, I bought the 15-85, and to be honest the IQ and colors were way much better than the 18-55, plus 15mm in APS-C is quite wide (specially for traveling) and it is nice to have the 85 when you need the extra reach, the only con for me was the low light performance, but in those cases I used the nifty fifty.
The main problem is that if you are planning to jump to full frame, you will have to sell your EF-S lenses (as I did).

My two cents  :D

Software & Accessories / Re: Problems pairing Canon 6D and Smartphone

Problem solved, the solution was the upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich from Gingerbread and now it connects without problems.

Problem not solved yet,  I´m having the same problem as MalkyB, I can access the camera through Infrastructure Mode (wifi hub) but not directly with mi Smartphone, I don't know if its a smartphone problem or what (using a Sony Xperia go with Android Gingerbread).

It´s strange, because if i connect my laptop to the Wifi signal that the camera is emitting, and at the same time I connect my Smartphone to the Camera, There is no problem at all, the Smartphone connects immediately, but as soon as i disconnect the laptop to the camera, the Smarpthone connection goes off, always checking for the IP address.

MalkyB, did you solved the problem?

Software & Accessories / Problems pairing Canon 6D and Smartphone

Hi everybody!

I hope you can give me a hand here.
I´m having problems when connecting the Canon 6D to an Android smartphone (using EOS remote), sometime it works fine, but others, it cannot connect via Wi-Fi.
The smartphone recognizes the camera in the Wi-Fi settings, I try to connect, but nothing happens ( it´s getting really annoying).

Do you have the same problem?

Thank you very much for your help!  :D

Lenses / Re: Best Value "Normal" Lens for 6d?
« on: December 13, 2012, 05:52:36 AM »
After thinking about the 6d for a long time (jumping from a T1 with a 15-85, Pancake 40mm and 50 1.8 II), Yesterday I finally bought it here in Austria  :D

I really like to shoot wide so I didn't wanted the 24-105 so I just bought the Body plus the EF 17-40... What a change, specially the ISO perfomance!!

I would highly recommend the 40mm STM, if you want something lighter and smaller with good IQ (and cheap  ::)

It seems that I don't like the nifty-fifty anymore, I'll wait or maybe i'll just get the 50mm 1.4

Greetings from a really happy guy with his new camera  ;D !!

Hi everybody!

I have noticed that more image samples have been released.
I have been following the 6d for a long time as I'm thinking seriously about getting one (jumping from a T1i will be a big change :D)

What do you think about these pics?
