i shoot full RAW + small jpg.

The RAW is for insurance if I screw up the settings. The jpg is for family and friends who have no idea what a balanced good photo looks like and want to see it NOW on social media.

This place charges AUD$100 to submit a camera for inspection. They didn't charge me anything more for the repair.

I have a 5DM3 and recently found my joystick at the bottom of my camera bag. I pressed it back on but it didn't work properly.

So I found a reputable registered repairer and sent it in.

The repairer told me that I shouldn't have pressed it back on myself and the back of the camera has to be pulled off, in order to repair it. The repairer said that with these joystick issues sometimes the whole back of the case has to be replaced.

I was lucky, nothing was broken and needed to be replaced.

Since i got my 5DM3 the G12 hasn't seen the light of day. My compact would therefore be my iphone 5s.

I am not affiliated with the project. It seems like an interesting product.

13 Days to go.

I have a very camera shy family and the 5D3 quiet shutter is fantastic in this situation.

It has been explained to me that 'generally' the bigger the reflected surface, the more natural the flash looks.

Something about making a small light source (flash) into a bigger light.

I've used it. It works. I have the diffuser but haven't used it yet.

I personally like it because it can be stuffed into a bag, folded, squashed etc and is still usable.

Have you actually carried that much gear around before?

I have had the Kata Bumblebee 222, loaded with 5D3, 70-200 2.8, 50 1.2 & 16-35, plus laptop AND HOLY CRAP it weighs a tonne!!!

My next bag for that much stuff comes with wheels.

work with the 24-70mm lens and natural frustration, with its mechanical limitations, will show you what your next lens should be.

it would help if you specified why you think the lens is bad.

the composition is not the best. what were you trying to achieve with these 3 photos? They all show DOF well enough.

Omar, you need to qualify your request.

what speedlites have you got? how much are you prepared to spend? what are you taking photographs off? ttl or manual sync?

I'm currently exploring this exact topic. I am doing a Canon Course 'On & Off Camera Flash'.

I'm about to spend $800+ on manfrotto light stands, umbrella, brackets & more brackets.

I'm probably going to dip my toes in with Youngnuo YN-622C triggers.
