nice to see some 5DC owner opinion 

so, SirPhil, comparing the Extreme 60mb/s to the Extreme Pro 90mb/S, you can actually tell the difference? I thought the 5Dc can't benefit from UDMA cards?

looks like i will be buying a 60mb/s 400x card at least, the question is 90mb/s 600X card benefit me at all?

even losing some speed? didn't expect that.....

any 5D C owner here shoot Raw + Jpeg? Raw itself takes time to clear buffer for me.... maybe its time to upgrade?

Lexar do look faster than the Sandisk from Rob Galbraith's CF database, plus B&H is having a sale with them too!

does formatting the card frequently helps? if so, format at the computer or camera?

currently using Sandisk Ultra (probably their slowest card now  ) on my 5D1.

i find this combo to be very slow for writing speed (don't really care for reading speed).

and seeing these Extreme (not Extreme Pro) CF cards goes for $35 for 8GB at B&H, wondering if running one of these faster CF would benefit me at all? or is it limited by my buffer? which seems to be small?

I shoot Jpeg most of the time now becoz of this, shooting Raw is really lagging.

i assume the 5d2 and 5d3 has larger buffer, wondering what user with older Canon body like mine are using and want to hear their experience.

i didn't read the whole thread, but the op can consider the Sigma 17-70 F2.8-4, especially the newer one just announced in photokina.

or perhaps Tamron 17-50 F2.8, you can good optics but loos a bit range, but you already have those cover

didn't even know there is a Canon 24-85 variable lens. must be old? how does it perform?

but the 24-85 Nikkor that comes with the D600 Kit is very compact, not tooo heavy as well.

i sure hope Canon can bring us some cheaper alternatives. maybe 24-85 F2.8-4 ? just like how Fuji "kit lens" has 2.8-4 on their 18-55.

Can you post some of your videos with that A99?  Not too many people have them yet.

Sorry, i didn't make it clear, i don't have the A99, but i think the SLT technology is the best if you want continuous AF in video mode, the A99 add a focus limiter so your focus wont jump during your clips, and the additional 100+ phase detection AF points embedded in the sensor, it tracks moving subject really well.

some complain i see is that AVCHD file size is smaller compare to Canon's newest, which is like broadcast quality if i am not mistaken

The T4i has some kind of continuous video AF, but its half decent. don't even come close to m4/3, NEX, Nikon 1, etc when it comes to video AF.

but the T4i is more for soccer mom, the 6D is not..... but i don't mind shooting my toddler sport activities with a FF A99 that do continuous video AF

if the OP decide to go 35L, i suggest you wait for the Sigma 35mm F1.4 just announced at photokina.

i love their 30mm F1.4 when i shoot crop, hoping the Sigma 35 will beat the 35L ?

so the dock is included?

adjusting AF speed is nice, but anyway to finetune AF instead of going to a sigma repair facility to make adjustment?

although i never have problem with sigma's AF, just want to know.... coz with that function, nobody can complain anymore?

i don't know what the "upgrade" is from the S100 to the S110, but the sensor size from Fuji's XF1 got me looking into their 2/3" alternative.

the difference between 2/3" vs 1/1.7" is much greater than 1/1.7" vs 1/2.3" small sensor.

will wait for some reviews thou.
