Speculate about an actual delivery date ;-)

Or why the new 24-70 can resolve beyond 22mp?

I love the combined focus and zoom ring.

Canon has 3 current 70-200mm lenses F4, F2.8 and F2.8 + IS

So there must be plenty of scope for a 24-70mm IS F2.8 in the near future - perhaps waiting to released with a new 5D body?

I assume this new NON IS lens will sell like hot cakes as will the IS version when it comes.

With much better MTF edge performance and a new 82mm filter could a new high MP camera actually have a larger sensor than FF, not much larger but more able to use the lens to the edges.

The fall off at the edges looks to be improved by the larger front element - good for FF users - though new 82mm filters need buying.

Good, i've wanted a good 2nd prime for my aps-c - this is neat, though if IS add more than £50 to the price i'll be upset.

A lot of negativity on spec belief, but its not about not topping the spec of the 1dx but instead not losing market share to the next D800/D4  or Sony Alpha - if that means AF or fps as that makes canon better than other then that is what's needed.

So it looks to be similair in surface area to a and aps-c sensor, but with a wide screen 1920 x 1080 style format.
The “rolling shutter” effect is reduced with higher sampling rates of 1/60th sec for 1/24 &30 frame rates.

To me it does not look to be much different from current d-SLR technology and i'm not in awe of it, but i'm not a video person.

Who wants a 7D mk2 and not a FF 5Dmk3 with more dynamic range?
Would a 21Mpixel 7D with more dynamic range from a better sensor and digic 5 be worthwhile.
New is good, but why would i upgrade from a 60D?

A "true" normal for APS-C (based on the size of their current 18mp sensor) would be pretty much in the middle between 24mm and 28mm,

Actually 31.25 would be  a 50mm equiv on a 1.6 crop factor APS-c from canon.

But i love my fast nifty fifty, and a cheap 35/30 or even a preferred cheap plastic 28 f1.8 would be splendid for me - if its as sharp as the 50mm.

A direct 1DX competitor.
So nikon are going for:-
D4 - Low MP, big FPS, High ISO
D800 - High MP, low FPS, average ISO.

So the 5DMKIII will be high MP to compete?
And new canon lenses to resolve detail at these higher MP's ?

AF type? Nikon seems to have a better AF approach - will canon improve theres for live view?

Big Mega pixel counts for those that don't know any better, and bigger pixel sites for those that do.

Will that allow some kind of natural product split where i have to "downgrade" MP to upgrade dynamic range.

Or rather than converting a camera for a one effect solution give it to me so i can upgrade to FF from APS-c.
Thanks
