I like it.

Here is another approach: some Rebel don't remember model with 10-22 lens @10mm, EwaMarine underwater housing, and not being afraid of water. That big blob was smashing in my face and camera just fraction of a second later. Maybe will post later when, I find the one "under" water and sand actually.
This was taken just some 50 mil south from your location.

Canon General / Re: Canon's MAP Pricing Goes Into Full Effect Today

5D III pricing soap opera just keeps going on... wonder what else could be done to put customers in the state of great anxiety and make them pay a truckloads for nothing.
Very amusing  :D

What a SHOCK!
Its just the beginning, or maybe they will start refreshing the entire product line just about soon, like next January?

EOS Bodies - For Stills / Re: Better dynamic range than my 5DIII
« on: October 03, 2012, 05:37:20 PM »
It's almost guaranteed that that was shot with a large format camera, possibly even using 8" x 10" film. If so, then it's to your 5DIII what a PhaseOne IQ180 is to a cell phone camera.

Except that negative format has nothing to do with DR that OP is talking about.

Also 2012 visit... Humble Canon T2i 10-22, all including night shots handheld, no bracketing no HDR.

EOS Bodies / Re: Adorama is selling 5d3 for $2745 on eBay now
« on: September 16, 2012, 11:28:38 AM »
Would not worry to much, clearly somebody is testing the waters. After they scared us with disappointing specs for the 6D (they may turn out to be real in the end) mere $2745 for 5DIII seems just to good to be true for the moment.
At least we know for sure that they are not selling nearly enough 5DIII bodies.
My advice: wait some more if you absolutely don't need for work right now, real "Christmas" will come to everybody soon, or maybe even some better body models offerings...

Like Canon have no idea how market reacted so far to their new pricing futures crippling strategy!
Instead of moaning and crying at the time of paying with credit cards for 5DIII, just sent a short but clear message with your wallet already!
You will see a real change coming very soon.
Just because you will send another ultra "POWERFUL" message to canon on CR  ;D nobody will bother until they still getting our money.
Trust me Canon will wait in to the last moment before giving up, this is clearly new philosophy and there is no cure for that except firm market force, and that is if there is any sanity left in the management.

Software & Accessories / Re: Other photography websites...
« on: August 14, 2012, 12:03:24 PM »
It's the sign of the time... people realized that the market after Flickr is still the same, odds of making money same, same people in the game, and hoopla on sites as Flickr don't really mean anything but hoopla, and in order to make some money you have to go and shoot weddings or pets or children in the neighborhood, not exactly glamorous photography work, so they are loosing interest.
I think this is the reason why Canon is in trouble, lack of understanding that 80% of 5D II buyers were amateurs living mirage of "FAME" on internet sites like Flickr, shelling thousands of dollars for semi pro cameras and lenses.
Well the dust is finally settling down after the digital explosion, now we will see whats next.

Third Party Manufacturers / Re: So Nikon D600 is real after all
« on: June 14, 2012, 12:53:23 PM »
I think that if Canon will do next advertising project with Spielberg instead of Howard, all will miraculously turn for the better...  ;D

Why is it that I am somehow satisfied with how things are turning out even that, I hate selling used stuff?
D600 looks SWEET!

Love the thread, thanks!

Rebel XT with old Metz flash.
How about the DR huh?
Judging from blown off highlights from the Diii in the pictures above, not bad...

Great shot! How do you get the flash to pop right as the projectile is hitting the tomato?

Some time a go (6-7 years?), I have bought on line simple sonic trigger, with just two adjusting knobs, one for gain (small computer microphone) and delay.
It was sold by Quaketronics.com, not sure if they are still available, but it worked fine for me.

Killer resolution! Can be used for some serious forensic or research applications, just think of super macro outcomes...

Have no idea how you people can still try to minimize this camera comparing it with 5DIII...
Most dangerous kind of people, blind followers without ability to think clearly, shooting them self in the foot just to proof the point... same people also are going to vote soon again.
