I went today and they had the 150-600 available too test at the canon part of their lenses. I didn't look if it was the sport or contemporary. But I guess it was the sports.

1. That it is truly neutral. A ND filter that is not neutral will mess up your image
That was an awesome article on ND filters.
thanks for the great replies
what's 10 stop?
does that mean it goes from 1, 2, 3... 10 grades of grey?
ok. i am convinced to invest
lee filters are square??
do i need to buy a separate holder?
will this holder work with all lens sizes?
what are the options for me to buy - looking for brand names
- lee filters
- Marumi - no good availability in UK
anything else to consider?
ALSO: what do i need? n2, n4... n400??
what should i start with?
Thanks a lot for the advice! I ordered the Heliopan filter today and am very eager to see the results, and I admit I hope that wb will fix it most of the time because with Photoshop I end up with a 100mb tif instead of a 20mb dng :-o
thats really cool you warned me about that one, i will pass on it then,.......just kidding of course,
Based on what i read and see on this unit it appears to be the best all around unit, none of these hand held units seem user friendly though, i think i want both the Giga T and the triggortrap ios app and cable to learn how to set up star trails and other cool things faster, this way when i am going to do longer shoots ill be familiar with some of the techniques some of you mention on this site.
And Seriously, thanks
I also use the hähnel Giga T Pro II, you can use it as a timer and intervalometer and wired or wireless.
As intervallometer you can progam a program for lets say 10 shots per minute and then embed this progam in a 2nd progam so it repeats progam 1 every 5 min.
I think this makes it perfect for time lapses.
It is expensive but it can do every thing you would want.
This seems like a huge advantage over regular intervalometers. I struggle to imagine what it would look like though. Can you show me the effect his double loop has in time lapse videos?
This is a pano that I made in Landmannalaugar in Iceland. (It is a pano made from 57 photo's in 3 lines of 19.)
(Please watch it full size because otherwise the details will go lost)
I find this a fascinating photo for several reasons. First the technical acomplishment of 57 photos all in one. Second is the vastness and barely touched eathscape. Third the single lone vehicle and small road that humans have been here (could have been some other planet). Fouth is that I've never seen what appears to be small volcanoes. Are they? And finally thank you for showing us a place on earth that I will never see myself. Thank you .
