I came across a website where a guy did the same thing with some old Kodak lens. His website had a few more details about how he did it. Sorry I can't find it again today.

I assume it wouldn't be that hard to mount a EF adapter to anything you wanted too. Could always email the guy and ask.

Whatever the mid level smugmug account uses.

I'm curious since it's 2.4 GHZ (the same as wifi) once this is all reverse engineered by someone, would it be possible to control flashes through some sort of web interface? Don't know if you could directly transmit from a computer, ore maybe have to make some sort of USB dongle.

Lenses / Re: what is the most contrasty lens you have used????

Just got my Takumar 50 MM from Ebay yesterday, now I just have to wait for the adapter to show up from China.

Now I'm suddenly interested in all sorts of Jupiter and Helios lenses, there goes the money I've been saving for the 5D MK III......

I'd buy either the 1DX or 5D3 sensor in a cardboard box with 1 AF point if it were under $1000...

Digital pinhole camera?

With how popular the 5d MK II ended up being, one hopefully thinks Canon would take into account that the MK III will be popular and adjust production to match.

Pelican for sure. They can get a little spendy, but are next to indestructible. REI sometimes stocks a random assortment (no rhyme or reason to which ones) of them if you happen to be close to one. The larger cases can get expensive, depending on how much you need to cary it might make sense to get a few smaller ones.

I believe B+H also stocks them and has a little bit more comprehensive supply than your local REI probably does...

Just if your not in NY and want to look at them REI is probably a little closer :)

Even the power account lets you use private domain names. I also really like the security features on private galleries, they are very easy to set up. I guess they no longer have a free account, but they are worth every penny in my opinion.

If you put magic lantern on you camera, there is a option for shutter count.

I really hope they bump AEB up to 7  with +/-3
5 as an absolute minimum though

I second that, HDR is a thing for me now... I think Trey is right that HDR is the way forward, done right that is and not looking like a surreal mess

Buy 1 series body. Lol, it is not me. That is how it works in canon world.

There is always Magic Lantern. It's easier to use then you think. I put it on my 50D just because I wanted to try out the video on it for the heck of it, and was quite impressed with all the other features.
