Pricewatch Deals / Re: Canon USA Rebates Expiring Soon

sorry but these are horrible. they raise the msrp then add a rebate.

I will never take advantage (aka- be taken advantage of) by one of these. nope.

Doesnt even matter. the free battery is a non issue, i have a 12 dollar replacement battery that works great.  Also picked up a small vidpro hard-ish case with it (all from jr music world)

what a great little camera. shooting with it is more reliable than my crap AF 7d. i literally carry it every day. GREAT purchase!!!!!!

I DO NOT want the 7d's crap AF system. Instead of shooting with my 7d, its been a glorified paperweight for 6 months. Been back to canon 3 times. Refuses to consistently focus. That system sucks.

the 7d has a great form, and is a joy to use, but those high noise images and af trials have me ready to trade it in.

EOS Bodies - For Stills / Camon M (mini) prices

I wonder if anyone is asking canon why the Europeans get the speedlite in the box, while Americans have to shell out almost 200 bucks for it.

body w/22m+flash+extra battery= 1050.00 And wait, 200 bucks for an apapter...oh yes canon, thanks very much for that one.

I dont get it. Of course canon is overcharging on EVERYTHING these days, but 1050 for a an almost dslr is kina bongos. Especially considering that battery is only good for 250 shots. (<---- wtf? )

Dont get me wrong, i think the t4i sensor is there is great- we dont need no other tiny sensor cameras. M43 is holding that line.

I think there is a lot of good here..just wrapped up in sheer canon conservative stupidity.

While this sounds very swell, what does it do for a body that wont focus proper?

7d pain on this side. Sorry for the rantish post. But Cannon is f'ing with me right now...3 times back and no dice

In my opinion, if you want 7D, go get used.  They are all built like tanks these days and it is hard to find a bad one.ß

Buyer beware. My 7d i bought used, has never been a champion, and is on its way back to canon for its third adjustment. I sadly can rely more on a rebel body then a 7d. My thinking is well colored at this point.

speaking of which, I am about to buy a new T2i. Great image quality, for me at the wnd of the day, is king. But admittedly the 7d is a wonderfully functioning body- sensor, not so much.

Lenses / Re: Canon 70-200 f2.8 II or Sigma's 70-200mm f2.8?

you may not even be able to focus properly with that sigma.

Pay the money.

That is all :)

EOS Bodies / Re: Where is 650D/t4i

i too am very, very curious as to what the t4i can bring to the table. the t3i is just a wonderful, full featured camera. I even love the t2i just for the image quality and drop dead ease of use, + optional video. I LOVE my xsi, but ill be damned if i dont secretly want it to break so i can replace it with a t3i/t4i.
