Either the transmitter will be built into the upcoming bodies, or there will be an external transmitter like the ST-E2. Not sure if it will be a transceiver though capable of adjusting the 580 remotely.

Odin is a nice system but hopefully there will be manual control @ 1/3 stop increments not 1 stop as it is currently. I don't think this is difficult for the Phottix engineers to implement in the upgrade model.

Tamron certainly did a good job in introducing IS (VC) in their new 24-70. The weight is 825g versus Canon 24-70L's 950g. Hope the IQ is good
