So beside the sensor and all the discussions about it, you've got it in your hand, is it a good body, better than the 7D ? can you post some photos there please :

A 100-400 F4 constant, with build-in 1.4 converter (which keep the f4)..  for less than 2500 $

a lens like that would cost 15K at least...

Just a dream ;)

Lens are why I bough Canon.  So this in not much of a surprise.  Not to mention in many cases the Canon Lens is also Cheaper than the Nikon lens it out performs.

+1  ! both companies raise dramatically their price on their last lenses these past two years...

Wow stunning results Dustin :o

Do you see the 6D as a potential body for relatively quiet wildlife (i mean not afraid) in a rainforest environment which requires high iso. The AF is so important too there...

Lenses / Re: Which L Lens to start with?

70-300 f/4-5.6 L IS ! razor sharp, great IS, weather sealed and compact... You almost have a 70-200 f/4 L IS and a 300 f/4 L IS with this one...

What i really would like is a 400 f/5.6 L with IS and weather sealing. I already have the 70-200 and 300 both f/4 IS and i only need that one...

Or a 500 f/5.6 L IS but it will never happen, it would be a foolish decision in terms of marketing !

A new 100-400 finally ? why not...

Wow 2014 could be a great year for wildlife and sport shooters if it's true with a possible 7D mark II and the rumors of Sigma working on its new generation of big lens

 ;D :) ;)

Should be interesting to how these compare to Canon offerings

sharpness : might be a tie
build quality, weather sealed : Canon
weight : Canon
Price : Sigma

A 400 or 500 5.6 OS might be a great option for Sigma... Cheaper and lighter lenses.

Lenses / Re: Why pick 70-200mm f/4l IS over 70-300mm f/4-5.6l IS?
« on: August 25, 2013, 06:09:39 AM »
if i read correclty your question my answer is inner zoom, better bokeh and abitility to use a converter... but the 70-300 is definitely a great lens 8)
