If I photograph a group of friends smiling and holding up their index and middle fingers, while sitting behind the cracked windshield of a blue, 1950's T-Bird that they've just washed, does that count for 9 or 10 of the photographs?!?   

I'll give you 9.  I don't think it would count for the cooking utinsel.

One piece of advice I have always heard was, if you have to ask, then you probably shouldn't do it.

That aside, you need to ask yourself two questions:
1.  Is it a lens you want?
2.  If yes to 1, can you comfortably afford it now at the asking price.

If the answer to either question is no, then pass on it.  Otherwise, if the answer to both is yes, then go for it.  It is a great lens at a great price.

One thing to note.  If you don't want to pay for the pro version now, you can buy the plus version and then if later you decide you want the pro version, you only have to pay the difference.

How do I feel?  I feel happy for those that were able to take advantage of the deal and get this great camara.  I am also happy that I have been able to use it all summer.

I'm surprised more people are not ditching Amazon at this point and going with independent stores...

If anyone uses the "tax" excuse, it's just stupid. You have to declare it eventually...

How is saving almost $400 stupid?  Where I live we do not have to report purchases from out of state that we didn't pay taxes on.  I know of very few states that do.
