BTW, it SUCKS that the M's lens adapter's price went up so much! Money in, money out.

Ah, the pleasures of the market economy:  Reduce the price; increase demand; create need for more accessories; raise price on those accessories; sell accessories.  Of course we will all gripe when the Mii comes out and we have to buy more!

I don't fault Canon or any of the dealers for this.  It is, after all, a Capitalistic society we live in.

Nor do I, and yes it is. I was just saying.

Mine hasn't shipped yet, but it's currently in process... If the M is equal to or trumps my much loved T2i then I'll be a very HAPPY CAMPER!

Bargain of the year at $299 with lens.

I tried to resist... really I did... but resistance was futile. Order placed at B&H. The M (in black) w/22mm is back-ordered, but is estimated to be back in-stock by 7/11. I can wait a few days--it's far easier than resisting.

Oops! I voted "both", but I hate neck straps. I love my BlackRapid RS-7 shoulder strap, and use either an Op/Tech or Canon WS-20 wrist strap depending on the camera. The wrist straps live on my cameras so that's what I use the most. I never warmed up to hand straps.

If all you need is to trip the shutter, the Phottix Strato II includes the necessary cables to remotely trigger the shutter release, and also can function as remote strobe/speedlite trigger.

...or will the 430exIi be enough?

It will be enough until it's not enough.

GDub is the (kinda sorta) sound of my firstname and lastname initials--"GW". But... because "GDubya" puts a Texas spin on it (if you catch my drift), I went for an alternative version. ;) In truth, I was called GDub (sounds like "Jee-Dub") at work for years and it stuck. The avatar picture is a replica of my Gravatar--gravatar.com.

How about adding: "I like everything about the 5D3!"

Having upgraded from a T2i (which I still have, use and like), I can honestly say I LOVE everything about the 5Dm3.
