I use Define 2 and Silver Efex Pro (SEP 1) as a regular part of my processing routine--and LOVE them both. I mention "version 1" for SEP, however, because SEP 2 does NOT run on my machine--even though my machine (Mac) is well above the system requirements. After the release of SEP 2 there was a LONG thread about the issue on the Nik forum, but apparently the forum has been shut down (someone correct me if there's a new forum site). So my recommendation is to try the fully functioning demos available for download from Nik before you buy and save yourself a possible major frustration.

At what point does one get banned from being smited?  I wouldn't worry about the "applaud or smite" thingy unless there's a "you're excommunicated" number attached to the system. I'm new here and got my 11 smites because I made an innocuous joke about winning the current contest--"I won, I won!!" I wrote (including a winky emoticon ). Smite abusers? Yes there are! Therefore, I'm wearing my smites proudly--11 and counting!

Canon EF-S and EF-M Lenses / Re: Canon 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM

The 15-85mm is probably the best EF-S kit lens out there... [It] is a bit heavy for Rebels but matches the 7D perfectly.

Agreed about the front heaviness, but with a battery grip adding bottom weight to my T2i it's much more balanced.

United States / Re: $100,000 - How would you spend it?

I'd buy one of these, quit my job, load up my current stash of gear (plus maybe get a 5D Mark II body on the cheap), pull some of my 401k and spend a year on the road taking photos.

I won, I won!!

I suspect a troll, as weren't there meant to be 10 finalists announced or something?
Happy for you if it true though :P

No troll here. I was trying to add a little levity to the thread--aka, it was a JOKE. I was actually kind of surprised that some people here really didn't get the light-hearted little JOKE and gave me "bad karma." I even included the to make sure it was understood to be a JOKE. Ah well.
