Canon EF 24-70 mm 2.8L usm. Because it fits my photography interests and delivers premium performance. I shoot lots of portraits and events like concerts etc.
I don't actually own one (low budget), but have used it quite a bit

I hope this rumor is true.
Once again, we'll get a great professional FF camera with superb video (as mpix count suggest). Looks like a solid and not suprising replacement for 5DmkII. It just got upgraded in al the aspects, with no change of aim.
This will fill the hole in canons lineup (between 5dmkii and 1dx). And the 5DmkII becomes that affordable FF camera, we all wanted.
The only thing missing is a high megapixel camera. There it is a question, if canon will even bother to make it. But I don't think that Canon will leave Nikon alone in this segment, no matter how small it is. Maybe the "cinema" DSLR will have a high Mpix count and low high iso performance (which would seperate it from c300). And cinema lenses are supposed to have like "super high" resolution (perfect for high mpix sensor).
Who knows..

If I can get clean raw images at ISO 12800, thats about 1/2 stop or slightly more than my 5D MK II, but if they are clean at ISO 25,600 then there is a significant advance, which I somehow doubt.Why do you doubt? Between 5DmkII and 1D X, there has been nearly 4years of development. I think, that's enough for 1/2 stop. And don't forget the megapixel difference. 21mp vs 18mp, means bigger pixels and better performance. Thoose two factors togeder, could easily give us 1 stop better iso performance, so why not even more? I wouldn't be suprised if there's 3/2stops of difference.

Well, It's a bit of a problem to find such a lens. It needs to be wide on a crop senzor, but ready for fullframe. And not slower than 2.8. If I recall correctly, the only lens that meets all your requirements is Canon 16-35 2.8L. But it's not exactly cheap..
By the way, how did tamron 17-55 work for you? I'm thinking of buying it for concert photography. Recommended (yes/no)?

50D. Replaced my old 400D, and brought my 50mm F/1.8 back to life with micro af adjustment. Love it! And maybe now I won't have to borrow 5DmkII for every serious job I do..

I have only one question.. Why, why WHY?
Why do they even need to update the series? Cameras are not old, are not outdated, and it just seems stupid to release a new camera, just because of higher mp count. There's no real improvement. And there's a product for everyone. What do you miss? What kind of camera? Don't tell me, that anyone actually waits impatiently for a new rebel or xxD camera?
