EOS Bodies - For Stills / Re: Camera Cleaning Suggestions
« on: December 03, 2013, 06:43:57 AM »
As said neuro, "Honestly, cleaning a sensor is quite easy", it's true the first couple of times are a bit nerve racking, but after that it's much easier. You have to at least try it once, it's really quite easy and as a bonus you learn more about your camera.

i wonder how accurate those earlier rumours that Canon was looking at MF?

is there a Canon shooter on CR that owns a Fuji x-pro1, im just after a opinion on the Fuji where you like it or not?
on a side note... would'n it be wonderful if Canon made a Camera like this or even better a full frame version, arghhhhhhhhhhhhh ;D

Unless its lenses were limited to focal lengths suitable for pancake lenses, wouldn't FF rather defeat the point of such a camera?  Wouldn't their FF lenses have to be the same size/weight as everyone else's?

good point :o

Canon General / Re: Is it Genuine? Canon LP-E6 Battery
« on: September 10, 2013, 05:37:56 AM »

fwiw, i only use non-genuine batteries(except for the originals that came with the body), they are much much cheaper(canon oem are a rip off) and most have a higher capacity, they charge the same and hold charge the same :o

Can't you just put it into a 5Dmk3 with the latest firmware?
If it's not genuine, the camera will flag it out.

I have 2 batteries that has all the Canon logos on it and look identical to the original, but when i loaded them into the camera, it says unable to communicate with the battery so i know they're fake..
the newer non-genuine's are decoded, fully compatible no communication errors ;)

EOS-M / Re: Hoodman Loupe
« on: August 07, 2013, 07:33:33 AM »
Yes I have this but use it on a 5d2, I use it when I'm shooting landscapes when can't see the LCD due to the sun glare, but I don't have it permanently attached to the LCD I have it around my neck on a lanyard and just hold it up to the LCD to check the shot, levels, composition, etc. It works great, just blocks out the sun so you can see what your doing mine also has a magnification factor of x2.5 so when looking at your LCD through the loupe the image is enlarged :)
