Well I was in your shoes a few months back, I was going to sell my 50L and 24-70, in the end I just sold the 24-70 and bought the 24-70II I just could not part with the 50L there is something about it, I also have the 70-200II and to me the 50L compliments them, when I need a very fast prime> there it is. I was going to get the 85L> got the 100L instead which is great for macro and portraits and cheaper
Love my 1ds3, image IQ is on par with the new stuff except when that iso starts to rise, build quality is first rate, menu is a little dated but everything is in the familiar Canon functionality form. As far as live view goes my 1ds3 has over 200,000 shutter releases with 25% use with live view with no error messages
We bought 2xDell 2713hm for our studio, one was faulty and replaced by Dell but the replacement was also faulty!!! in the end we bought the Asus PB278Q, very happy with it as good if not better than the Dell
Well I have both, IMHO the 24-70II is the best standard zoom I've ever used and could easily replace the 24 & 35 primes>however I also have the 50L, I think you need a fast prime for bokeh and light gathering ability> I was thinking about one of the other fast primes (24 or 35) but just fell in love with the 50L so kept that and got the 24-70II very happy with both LR will correct distortion!
I bought the non L first, great lens very sharp and great for portraits and macro, but I kept getting these hunger pains craving for the L. So one day I just bought one, sold the non L and couldn't be happier they are both very good but the L is just a little better at what it does and it has IS FWIW>if its within your budget get the L, the L is cool and my Fav
1st world problem, well not really a problem. Why does Canon ask us to align there lens hoods with the red dot on the lens and then rotate, when the hood is in the stop position the writing on the hood is facing down. Now I know you can position the hood differently so the writing will be at the top, but Canon prefer it was on the bottom. Why?
Hi, yeah I have the cinch strap I've only had it for about a month but so far so good. I also have a black rapid(rs-7) and even though they are both great I prefer the black rapid. I haven't used a m-connect, but If you use a tripod alot it would be very handy!
