Lenses / Bring 120-300 OS or buy 55-250mm ?
« on: October 21, 2012, 10:33:01 PM »
So my problem is that if i bring my 120-300 with me to my europe trip, it adds a lot of weight in my luggage.
Sure I can manage to save the weight somwhere else but,
If I buy the 55-250 and bring this one instead, I would lose 45mm(less than that since the 300mm is more like 275) but I would lose image quality and a lot of light..but it's inexpensive and light. And I don't want to spend more than 200$ so..

Also I was questioning myself if it's not a little risky to bring a lens that big and expensive to a 1-2 month trip.. So if some of you have travelled with expensive gear can give me advices, I would be thankful.
Your toughts would be appreciated!

So it should be 700-800$ US/CA.. I just can't wait to see how it performs against it's canon and bower/rokinon etc rivals.

I've read an article recently about the marine and the lady who are  kissing while celebrations of the victory against the axis. This guy came from nowhere took her in his arms and kissed her. She didn't even know him and was not able to get rid of him because he was too strong.. Sometimes pictures hide reality..

Aaaaaaand for the topic, I can't wait to see if they can overcome their canon ''hate'' for once. I think we all know Nikon new cameras are great! but their numbers are a little offroad

T'es vraiment n'importe quoi. I think everyone here is getting tired of you and your useless arguments.

Canon General / Re: How to work around Canon shipping restrictions at B&H
« on: October 19, 2012, 11:12:37 PM »
I don"t know why the new super teles are less expensive here, and since I don't live in ontario (camera canada) I would pay only 5% taxes and no shipping. So 11965$ for a lens that in USA ( a much larger market) costs 13000. For cameras the prices are almost the same, even less expensive sometimes. But THE major difference is for the lenses..Most of the time they are a lot cheaper in the US of A. prices are going down in Canada since a few months and I could not be happier with it. This is why I don't thnik this is a major issue. For sure there are some huge discounts sometimes that we wontt be able to have here tough

Ok, first I can't believe it's the 1.4 it most likely is the 1.8. And how can you  have 80% off these lens, maybe 20% ok.. but never 80..? and certainly not on the 70-200 II.. no?

This might be marketed at countries with regulations on wifi, gps and signal transmission. It may be that the US gets the full version only and thus the highest priced model of the 3.

Yep.  For example, there are both a 600EX-RT and a 600-EX (no radio control), but the latter is only available in certain markets, and the USA isn't one of them.
Ahhh this is THE why. Thank you. So USA/CANADA might have just one version.. I would have prefer to have a version minus the gps and wifi for less money but whatever..

I'm sure that i'm a lot younger than most of you gentlemens but this discussion is becoming a real joke, some of you look like they are immatures 5 years olds arguing about who has the best quality tricycle. Come on. Do not go offtopic and try to be objective.
