« on: August 31, 2012, 03:24:08 AM »
From http://www.the-digital-picture.com/News/News-Post.aspx?News=2950:

Canon is reinforcing its commitment to high levels of service with the announcement of an additional one-year warranty for its EOS-1D X, EOS-1D C, EOS C100, EOS C300, EOS C300 PL, EOS C500 and EOS C500 PL camera bodies, providing photographers and filmmakers with two years of warranty coverage in total, free of charge.

The offer consists of a one-year extension on top of the one-year Standard European Warranty System (EWS), under identical terms and conditions, for a total warranty period of two years from the date of purchase (a proof of purchase and the one-year Standard European Warranty System will be required).

The two-year warranty is valid on products originally distributed by Canon within the EU countries plus Lichtenstein, Norway and Switzerland. To be able to claim the additional year of warranty you must have purchased the product in one of these countries.

Lenses / Re: *UPDATE* Canon EF 24-70 f/2.8L II Pushed Back to October?
« on: August 30, 2012, 05:20:53 AM »
”Hopefully” it is only Canon Sweden that has the delay (see http://www.canonrumors.com/forum/index.php?topic=9011.msg162594). When the new Canon 500 and 600mm lenses started to arrive, shops in Denmark hade them in stock before Canon Sweden started to ship them to shops in Sweden.

I have asked Roel Lammers (Product Business Developer at Canon Svenska AB) about the delivery for the Canon 24-70/2.8L II and he informs me that it will be another delay. The delivery date is now October… :(

In performance the Lexar win over the Sandisk, http://www.robgalbraith.com/bins/camera_wb_multi_page.asp?cid=6007-12452 if your camera can handle that kind of speed. In reliability I do not know...

I have the Lowepro Flipside 400 AW, http://products.lowepro.com/product/Flipside-400%20AW,2116.htm, that will fit your equipment. Due to its flipside design (that works great), it have you equipment protected against pickpockets’ and you do not need to lay the backpack down on the ground. Or if you put it on the ground the straps won’t be dirty. Also, if you carry I tripod you can easily open the backpack without removing the tripod first. The backpack is comfortable to carry, even with a heavy load.

I also prefer an updated 16-35/2.8 instead of the 14-24. And please keep the 82mm filter size!

The official release date from Canon, http://www.canon.co.uk/About_Us/Press_Centre/Press_Releases/Consumer_News/Cameras_Accessories/Updated_sales_start_date_EF_24_70mm_lens.aspx, is September 2012. But the lens has so far been delayed twice...

That page is blank now....

Strange, I have included a screen dump.

Maybe a LowePro Dryzone 200, http://products.lowepro.com/product/DryZone-200,1935,18.htm. I had the smaller 100 version on my trip to the Antarctica, it worked great.
