EOS Bodies / Re: Canon 1DX price huge drop in future?

I agree with you that 1Dx and D800 is in different class, pricewise! :) What if 24MP D800 can do 8fps and 10fps with grip at 3K-4K price, 2fps difference can be ignored. Lost of photography will turn to D800, obviously the price difference can buy 1-2 L lenses. Same reason lots of photographies buy 5D II instead of 1DsIII.

Canon is in a very bad position, there are rumors about sony will release 3 full frame cameras next year, including a 24MP EVF full frame. I am sure they can do 10 fps since nex 7 already does. Again, compare with 1Dx, they are not in the same class in terms of the continuous focus, but price is a big factor.

High ISO capability is great, but how often you will use native 51K ISO? 6400 ISO is good enough. Check out the Sony NEX 7 sensor score: http://www.sonyalpharumors.com/sony-nex-7-sensor-gets-dxomarked-it-is-the-sony-camera-with-the-best-overall-score/

google translate:
Rumors about the Nikon D900 · D800 web
The board of dpreview, and has so far appeared in the Nikon D900 and D800 rumors of another source.
· New Rumor: D900 + D800 Coming Soon

This rumor is a French magazine "chasseur d'images" comes from. This is a very serious and well-known magazine, every article about the new product was the fact.
D900
- 36 million pixels to ensure
- Low-pass filter less
- Video is 1080p 60fps, 720p 120fps
- Built-in flash is not
- Price is $ 4,000 or more
D800
- 18 million pixels
- 1080p 30fps, 720p 60fps
- Price is around 2500 U.S. dollars to 2800 U.S. dollars
Credibility because the rumor posted on the bulletin board is unknown, and the fact that the contents of this rumor Suppose unit full-size Nikon is likely to line up an ideal that can satisfy a broad audience.

Rumor aside, to a successor to D700, so very often quite user wants the sensor pixels moderate, I just want to have some machines full size of about 24MP or 18MP well as 36MP.
