Ivan, your reviews were very informative and fun to read. Your photographs are fantastic, I really like your 'display' of colors, for a lack of better terms. I can't describe how they look to me, but I really like them and all your examples. Like Paul, I also am a new owner of the EOS-M and am itching to get out and test it's video capabilities, which I bought it for. Thanks again for sharing your reviews here. Eric

How about Canon's Digital Photo Professional? It ships free with cameras, updates are free and the program does a marvelous job at editing photographs. Who needs anything else? And why?

Neuro, have you used the 400 f2.8 and the 500 f4 and if so, why is the 400 roughly 4 pounds heavier? Is that 2.8 glass that much of a difference? The 500's are BIG and heavy, we'd like to get 400's but the weight....phew! Not to mention, the price...

Thanks Neuro. Yeah, you're right, I geeked. I forgot the 500 & 600 were f4's, but you knew what I was talking about. You know we did rent some 500's last November but never took them off the tripods and I couldn't remember if they were removeable to lug around hand-held. Thank you.

Paul, so you did buy an M. Last I saw, you were mulling over one. I'm dying to try my new rig out, but Mother Nature says we must have a week of crappy, cold, rainy weather first. I did see the Canon 'half-case' that is shown in the booklet with the camera, that don't do nothing for me though. I've got an 18-135 IS STM along with the 22mm that came with the camera and am gonna mount the rig on a Cam Caddie Scorpion with my Marshall 7" field monitor mounted on the top part of the handle. With the M's handy HDMI out port, it easily connects to the monitor so I'm gonna see how the video does in this puppy. I bought an extra battery and a 128 Gb Sandisk Class 10 card. We'll see. Good luck in your quest for a case, let us know if you find one. Cheers!

I dropped $900 on the EOS-M package with the 22mm, the EF lens adaptor and I haven't even charged the battery yet. Why? Because of the bad press on the slow AF and the bad rumour of a firmware update that hasn't materialized. Today, I just ordered the EF-S 18-135 STM lens, with hood and Tiffen ND .03 filter because I had $250 worth of Amazon gift cards from Christmas. Damnit, I am now totallly commited to this thing come hell or high water. Like Paul13walnut5 here, I bought this camera to only shoot video because I have a 7D for stills. My wife is pissed at me for spending the money and not using the camera yet, so here I go. I am also watching MagicLantern closely as they develop their software package for the EOS-M and really want to see where it all goes. My video background goes back to the 1990's when Sony introduced the Digital 8 format and their first VAIO Digital Studio pc packaged with Adobe Premiere LT. I still have the TRV-103 camera, a VX-2000 mini DV cam, a recent model Panasonic AVCHD camera and Premiere Pro CS-5.5, soon to be CS-6. I'm gonna see what the EOS-M will do with my slight arrray of EF and EF-S lenses. When I shoot something decent, I'll be sure and share and enjoy the critiques!

Make sure the color space on your computer matches the color space you're using in your cameras. Also make sure the color space in your editing software matches all the above as well. For instance, we use Adobe RGB 1998 in our 7D's and have our D.P.P., Lightroom, Elements as well as our computer monitor's color spaces match. Then, as everyone has said, if you're not happy with your lab, try another one.
