10-18 would be interesting to me year ago...
Now I have great 11-22 for M.

16-35/4 sounds great for FF users.

Lenses / Re: Review: Sigma 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art

Btw there is almost no difference in performance between 50 1.4 Art and 85 1.4 HSM - http://www.the-digital-picture.com/Reviews/ISO-12233-Sample-Crops.aspx?Lens=756&Camera=453&Sample=0&FLI=0&API=0&LensComp=941&CameraComp=0&FLIComp=0&APIComp=0
So 50 1.4 Art is not so amazing, just the other 50mm are weak.

PowerShot / Re: Canon PowerShot G17 Coming in May? [CR1]

It's much more likely to be with the old sensor and a better new lens.

About traveling M is great addition to DSLR system for wide end (for now) with those small unique 11-22 and 22 lenses.
My travel setup is something like 60D + Sigma 105 OS macro, M + all lenses and 40 pancake + EF adapter. If there are good telephoto zoom and prime, I would go only with M :)

EOS-M / Re: EOS M Lens survey - your favorites, and your most wanted?

Nifty-fifty does not have excellent IQ for me, at least under F2.8.
But for 2.8 I'm using EF adapter + shorty-fourty :)

Native lens would be better - made for 1.6 crop, smaller, sharper, cheaper... They can make 75/2 not bigger than the 18-55 kit. I'm not sure does Canon WANT to do it.

I'm using 18-55, 22 and 11-22 and they are good lenses.

I would be happy to see something like:
75 2.0 IS Macro - portrait/macro lens
35/40/50 2.0 pancake
125 2.8 IS - small and compact telephoto lens
15-100 IS - walkaround lens
55-200 IS - long "kit" zoom

DRR,

I was waiting for something like the new Samyang 12 F2 for too long. But with good zoom, AF, IS and good image quality wide open I'm not going to miss the faster prime for the same price.

I have posted my review of Sigma 105 Macro OS somewhere in the forum - It's a really nice lens, especially with the new price.

I was waiting for this lens almost a year...
But now I got EF-M 11-22 IS STM with very good image quality, AF, IS and zoom. It's smaller, cheaper and usable with 55mm filters.
Thank you for making me waiting, Samyang :)

I know a photographer who bought G1X for hiking and he was happy with it.
The new G1X II looks like will do the job.
