LOL~~~T4i also has all cross type focus points, fanboyz consider this is an upgradeT5i also has all cross type focus points.Yeah, but the Canon bashers do not want to see the positives.

+10000Do you actually believe that the number of megapixels means its the same sensor? Perhaps you think the T4i has the same sensor, after its also 18mp, and then the T5i too.
Does the G11 have the same sensor as the old Canon 5D? Both are 12 mp, as is the Nikon D700.
after DXOmark the results get worse from the 550D to the 650D.. so no the sensors are not exactly the same.. they are worse.
+1Can anyone confirm if the T5i has the same new sensor that the SL1 has? The marketing materials clearly state the SL1 has a new sensor, but it is unclear if the T5i has the sensor from the T4i or the SL1.
nope but i will bet it looks like this:
Canon 550d - 18mp - DXO Mark sensor score: 66
Canon 600d - 18mp - DXO Mark sensor score: 65
Canon 650d - 18mp - DXO Mark sensor score: 62
Canon 700d - 18mp - DXO Mark sensor score: 5?
yeah i know it´s all wrong what DxO does and even a score of 40 would be good enough.
fanboys... pfhhhh.
Yeah right!Looks like someone does not know the difference between sensor sizes and what goes into having 63 zone dual-layer metering sensor in a FULL FRAME sensor ... an APS-C sensor is not a photocopy machine that you can duplicate the same page and produce a full frame sensor. The "new" 63 zone dual-layer metering sensor is from 7D(2009) and 1100D(2011), of course you can say there's nothing wrong with itI am afraid they did the same as with the 5D2/3.You seem to have conveniently forgot the new 63 zone dual-layer metering sensor,
Basically as many MP, basically same sensor tech, but new processor and maybe stronger AA filter to get better high-iso and video performance.
It's still the same technology... what's next? you gonna say Suziki Alto or KIA Picanto cars are same as a Mercedes?
Why canon just put the newer metering sensor from top end model like what Nikon didBcoz Canon is not a copy cat companyCanon is a toothpaste company
OK, so why are you are so agitated about a toothpaste company? go buy the other brand on the dark side, it might help brighten up your mouth, I mean teeth
It's still the same technology, of course there are certain modifications for the full frame sensor. Canon is a toothpaste company, squeeze little by little, and some consumers even defend for canon decisons, Y?

can please somebody tell me whats the major difference from 650D ?
oh yes! creative filters on LIVE shooting.. WOW i'm blown away!!! i think i run into a toy company and not some serious one canon used to be.
Love the ironies...
And its so ironic, too...we bitch about having AA filters....they bitch about NOT having them. We bitch about having too many fps...they bitch about none of their cameras competing with the 7D line.
Ah, the ironies. SO MANY IRONIES!
in terms of price, FPS, the 7100 seems more on-par with an x0D than a 7d. Especially if it's a pentamirror VF instead of a pentaprism... which as neuro pointed out, is more xx0 than x0. Higher MP, sure, but that's what Nikon's all about, isn't it? I feel like this doesn't put that much pressure on an upcoming 7d2
