Alan, what settings did you use to be able to use Raw at 1200mm? I thought it was only jpeg. Thx

I'd like to see capture video, say, of a baseball game during the day, perhaps as the pitcher throws the ball and the batter gets ready to hit, and then pull a frame from the 4k video and present the still. Thx

Landscape / Re: The Antelope Navajo Under ground cave, ARIZONA, usa.

Thank you for sharing your photos, and your positive contributions to the forum. Antelope Canyons are on my bucket list.

I have a 6D. Looking for product suggestions for a wireless shutter trigger & wireless flash trigger combo.

Flashes will be on manual. Don't need to worry about grouping flashes

Goal: not be tied down to camera body while talking to model

Don't really want any app-based trigger solution. Thx

Software & Accessories / Rastering of image in CC PS
« on: July 26, 2014, 04:40:13 PM »
I'm probably using the wrong term, rasterizing, but I'm trying to understand what is happening to my image

Using CC Photoshop, I select the sky, apply field blur, click ok, and bring it back into PS. The sky that has been blurred is wavy, like gradients.

Any tips would be appreciated

Lighting / Re: large softboxes for speedlights - what are you using
« on: July 26, 2014, 04:30:48 PM »
Thanks everybody for the feedback.

I will probably get the 50" Westcott Apollo after I find a buyer for my 2008 13inch MacBook

Is everyone saying that it is working using the 'ipod touch' as the OP?

I wish I could talk to the engineering team who developed it to give some very direct feedback about UX

Lighting / large softboxes for speedlights - what are you using
« on: July 17, 2014, 12:15:31 PM »
Is anyone using large softboxes, over 40 inches, for their speedlights - which brand/model are you using. I'm looking for one above 40 inches, and have a limited budget

Software & Accessories / Re: DPP 4. Is anyone else having this issue?
« on: July 06, 2014, 10:08:58 PM »
Why does anyone use DPP of any version? What features does it have that PS6/LR5 doesn't?

I wish Canon would put its dev efforts behind a better iOS EOS app and communication between it and 6D and others
