Another vote for an ultra wide zoom that is sharp at the corners. Don't get me wrong I like my 16-35 but it leaves a lot to be desired in the corners.

Given the minimal improvement between the 16-35 I and 16-35 II despite many years passing and increasing of front element to 82mm filter thread, I think the only way a UWA Zoom will be sharp at corners is with a bulbous element w/o filter support.

Again, bulbous elements have very good filter support..............

All in vain.

You can find other white box splits for $50 or more less.

Be careful, Canadians.....

Import Charges (Estimated):  $123.15    ? ? ? ? ?

What import charges?  I've never had import charges on stuff I've bought from the U.S. before.

I always have to pay.  How are you shipping?  Are the packages shipped with proper papers, or are you having items shipped in a deceptive manner?

Look, the reviewer obviously hasn't read the commentary on this website regarding the lens because quite clearly, without autofocus, this lens is not worth $4000 and nobody will buy it without autofocus, even if it is the sharpest lens since the big bang.

True, but to get the most from a lens like this it needs to be on a tripod, lessening the need for auto focus.  Now, I'd love to own a copy with AF for under $2000, but I'm not holding my breath waiting for that.

Those of us who want the highest image quality - dynamic range and resolution - will be pushed to the medium format system.

Or pushed to Nikon or another manufacture.

Based on what's in your sig, I'd get the 85L and 16-35L, or the 85L, 100L and a second 600EX.

+1 on the latter.

If the OP wants the best IQ only, then the OP needs an 8x10 view camera with the best lenses and best wet darkroom or killer digital back-end.  Cuz it's all about media size, right?

This [CR2] rumor said that it will arrive within the next 12 months.

Well, now it's been 15 months.  :'( I couldn't be more annoyed.

Last time I checked, this is STILL

Everything you read on the net is true, so what gives with the 12-24????

What should do if i want to use both of my flashes outside with my 7d ?

With the 600 on the 7D you can fire/trigger the 430.  If you can afford another 600, also buy the new ST-E3-RT transmitter.  Sell the 430.  I have three 600s and the ST-E3-RT, and it's rock solid relaiblily inside and out.

I have no experience with your third party flash units.

A "big" lens announcement?
Could it be a "big" lens announcement or perhaps the announcement of a new "big" lens.
I'm just aching with anticipation...

Yes, is it a big lens, or a big announcement about a lens?

Third Party Manufacturers / Re: Big Sigma Primes [CR2]

Mr Sigma - go for a 400/4.
All the other lens fl/apertures combinations are covered by the big boys.

EF 400mm 4.0 DO IS

The Canon 400/4 DO is very expensive and is slightly mediocre optically.
I was thinking that Sigma could wisely ignore the 10 year old DO concept and give us a conventional sharp wide open 400/4.

Gets you a 200/2 and a 400/4 with no future AF compatibility worries and high resale if you need; all for $6500 USD.
